Sony Xperia XZ1, Xperia XZ1 Compact press render leaked


Sony's IFA 2017 press event will take place on August 31, and the company is expected to launch atleast two smartphones: Xperia XZ1 with top end specs, and Xperia XZ1 compact with similar specs, but smaller display. Now ahead of the event, press renders of both phones have hit the interwebs, along with possible pricing details courtesy of reliable tipster Roland Quandt.

Apart from the size, the Xperia XZ1 and Xperia XZ1 Compact will offer the same design, but the Xperia XZ1. They will sport OmniBalance design with thick bezels on top and bottom, and the fingerprint sensor will be embedded into the power button. Also seen is the dedicated camera shutter and volume rocker on the right, and the SIM & microSD card slot at the left.


 

As for the specs, the Xperia XZ1 will be a toned down version of Xperia XZ Premium. The expected specs are 5.2-inch Full HD display, Snapdragon 835 Mobile Platform, 4GB RAM, 19MP main camera with slow-mo video capabilities, 13MP selfie camera and USB Type-C port. The compact model is expected to have a screen size below 5-inch, possibly 4.6-inch HD display.

As for the pricing according to Roland Quandt, the Xperia XZ1 will be priced at 599 GBP ($770 | Rs. 49,000), while the Xperia XZ1 Compact will sell 499 GBP (Rs. 41,000 | $640).
