Android Nougat is out for Galaxy A9 Pro

Samsung recently rolled out Android Nougat to Galaxy A5 (2017) and Galaxy A7 (2017) in India. Now another Galaxy A series phone, the Galaxy A9 Pro is also receiving Nougat update starting with India. To remind you, Galaxy A9 Pro was launched on Android Marshmallow.

The update uses the firmware version A910FXXU1BQHB and is now being rolled out over-the-air in India. It weighs just over 1.2 and the package brings all new features like new software UX, improved notifications and quick settings button, multi-window mode, Game Launcher, improvements to AOD and app installation times, and more.

Being an over-the-air update, the roll out is incremental, so if you've not been notified about the update yet, you can manually check for it by going to Settings ->About Phone -> Software Update. And since the download size is 1.2GB, make sure you're device is connected to a WiFi network, and have at-least 50 percent of charge and 2GB of free storage space.

To recap the specs of Galaxy A9 Pro, it comes with 6-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display, octa-core Snapdragon 652 chip, 4GB RAM, 32GB of expandable storage, 16MP f/1.9 OIS rear camera, 8MP f/1.9 front camera, NFC, 4G LTE, dual-SIM, fingerprint scanner and 5000mAh battery. The phone is currently available for around Rs. 23,000.
