Gionee to unveil its first bezel-less smartphone on September 28

Gionee is all set to join the bezel-less party with its upcoming flagship smartphone. The company is teasing the launch of its next smartphones, the Gionee M7 and M7 Power with a near  bezel-less design for a full screen display, just like LG's G6 & V30, Samsung's Galaxy S8/S8+/Note8. Gionee's version of full screen display is called "FullView Display". It will also have dual cameras.

Gionee also announced that M7 Power will be unveiled on September 28 at an event in Bangkok, Thailand. It is unclear if the M7 will be unveiled at the event or not.

As for the specs, the Gionee M7 was recently spotted on GFXBench. The listing revealed the M7 will have 6-inch Full HD+ (2160 x 1080 pixels) display with 18:9 aspect ratio, and equipped with the latest MediaTek Helio P30 processor, 6GB RAM and 64GB storage. One of the dual-camera will have a 16MP sensor, while the selfie shooter is a 8MP sensor. It will run Android 7.1.1 Nougat, and most likely pack a fingerprint scanner and beefy battery capacity.

Gionee also said that it is teaming up with Ofo, bike-sharing start-up from Beijing to promote the M7 and M7 Power. In the coming days, Apple, Xiaomi, vivo are also expected to unveil their bezel-less smartphone.
