HMD to reportedly launch the Nokia 8 in India next week


The first true Android flagship from the resurrected Nokia brand is all set to hit Indian market soon. According to a report from 91mobiles, HMD will launch the Nokia 8 in India next week on September 26.

The report says that Nokia 8 will be priced between Rs. 40,000 and Rs. 45,000, and will go on sale before Diwali, either the first or the second week of October. It will be available from both e-commerce portals and offline stores across the country.

To recap, the Nokia 8 was unveiled at an event in London last month. It  features  5.2-inch QHD display with Gorilla Glass 5 protection, Snapdragon 835 processor, 4GB RAM, 64GB of expandable storage, dual 13MP Carl Zeiss camera with OIS, 13MP selfie camera, 4G VoLTE, NFC, USB Type-C port, fingerprint scanner and 3900mAh battery. It runs Android Nougat, and upgrade to Oreo is already confirmed.

The Nokia 8 is priced at 599 Euros (Rs. 45,000) and is already available in select market in Europe, UK among others.

Its raining smartphones in India. The Galaxy Note8 will hit the market on tomorrow that is September 21. And in the coming days, the Moto X4, Sony Xperia XZ1, Apple iPhone 8/8 Plus and Google Pixel 2/Pixel 2 XL will launch in the country before Diwali.
