Samsung Galaxy J7 (2016) getting Android Nougat update in India
Samsung's budget smartphone Galaxy J7 (2016) which ships with Android Marshmallow, last month received Android Nougat starting with Russia. Now Nougat is being rolled out Galaxy J7 (2016) Indian units as well. The software firmware for the update is J710FXXU3BQHC, and is being rolled out over-the-air.
The update package weighs around 1GB, so make sure you're device is connected to a WiFi network, and have at-least 50 percent of charge and 2GB of free storage space. If you've not been notified about the update yet, you can manually check for it by going to Settings ->About Phone -> Software Update.
As per the change-log, the update bring new software UX, improved notifications and quick settings button, multi-window mode and more, along with August security patch.
To recap the specs, the Galaxy J7 (2016) features 5.5-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display, 1.6GHz octa-core Exynos 7870 processor, 3GB RAM/16GB internal storage, 13MP, 5MP front camera, selfie flash, 4G LTE and 3300mAh battery. It is available in India for around Rs. 10,000. Recently, Samsung rolled out an update to the device, that added support for Samsung Pay Mini for wireless payment capabilities.
