vivo X20, X20 Plus goes official with Snapdragon 660, dual-cameras


Chinese device maker vivo recently launched the near bezel-less vivo V7+ in India. Now vivo has launched another full screen phone dubbed vivo X20 in China, alongside a plus variant, X20 Plus. Design-wise, the it looks same like the vivo X7+, but the addition of dual-camera setup, makes it resemble the iPhone 7 Plus design, which has become a popular design among Chinese smartphone maker like Oppo, OnePlus and Xiaomi.

Speaking about the specs, the vivo X20 features 6.1-inch Full HD+ (2160 x 1080 pixels) Super AMOLED display with 18:9 aspect ratio, and is powered by the mid-range Snapdragon 660 Mobile platform. It comes with 4GB RAM, and will be offered in two storage variants – 64GB and 128GB. For photography, it rocks 12MP f/1.8 + 5MP dual-cameras at the back, and they work in tandem to offer high quality bokeh images. On the front there's 12MP f/2.0 dual-pixel camera. It is backed by 3245mAh battery and supports quick charging.

Other features include rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, Face Wake (vivo's term for face recognition), dual-SIM, Bluetooth 5.0 and AK4376A Hi-Fi audio chip to deliver immersive media experience. It runs Android Nougat based FunTouchOS 3.0 and comes with vivo's AI assistant.

The vivo X20 Plus packs the same specs as X20, but features a large 6.43-inch display, 64GB inbuilt storage, a beefier 3905mAh battery and upgraded camera with multi-axis OIS, and specially designed ultra-thin OIS motor. 

Coming to the pricing, the vivo X20 is priced at CNY 2998 ($455 | Rs. 30,000) for 64GB storage model, and CNY 3398 ($515 | Rs. 34,000) for the 128GB storage version. The X20 Plus costs CNY 3498 ($530 | Rs. 35,000). Both will be available in Rose Gold, Gold and Matte Black.
