Xiaomi's Mi Home Stores lets customers experience as well as buy Xiaomi products like smartphones, power banks, VR Play headset, accessories, and other ecosystem products launched in the country.

So far, the company has launched four such stores in India, three in Bengaluru and one in New Delhi. Now the company has opened a new Mi Home Store in Chennai, making it the third city where the store will be operational. The Mi Home Store is loctaed at 2nd Floor, The Forum Vijaya Mall in Vadapalan, and customers can purchase Xiamo devices, without waiting for any flash sales.

Apart from Bengaluru, Delhi and Chennai, Xiaomi plans to open Mi Home Stores in Mumbai and Hyderabad as well, but the grand plan is to open 100 stores across the country in the next two years.

The opening of Mi Stores in various cities is part of Xiaomi's plan to reach the offline customers, so that users who don't have internet access or are not familiar with the brand, can experience and buy Xiaomi products.

Xiaomi made its debut in India back in 2014 with the Mi 3, and was an online-exclusive brand. However, over the past few months the Chinese device maker, has been aggressively expanding it offline presence, to get a strong hold of the Indian smartphone market. The company recently announced that it sold more than 25 million smartphones in the country.

Currently it is positioned at the second spot in India, just behind Samsung, and is most likely to become the top smartphone brand within the next three quarters.
