Google Home Mini is $49 Amazon Echo Dot competitior
At its Pixel event in San Fransisco, Google announced a compact version of Google Home smart speaker called Google Home Mini. It is integrated with Google Assistant, and is the company's direct competitor to Amazon's Echo Dot.
The Google Home Mini is designed to be more accessible than ever at home, to fit naturally in any room. It sports speaker grill at at top and plastic-like based in the bottom. It is made of durable fabric material and has four LED lights under the fabric. The LED's light up to show you when Assistant hears you.
It is also voice controlled, so you can command Google Assistant to answer phone calls, stream music, control smart home appliances, check calendar and search the internet. It can project 360-degree surround sound and includes far-field microphone, so the device can hear, even when there's music playing or there's other noise in the background.
The Google Home Mini come in three colors —Chalk, Charcoal and Coral. It has been priced at $49 (Rs. 3,000), and is now available for pre-order in the U.S, while shipping begins October 19.
