New update brings October Security Patch for Xiaomi Mi A1


Google's Android One backed Xiaomi Mi A1 was launched in India last month, running stock Android Nougat, and with the promise of two major software update (Oreo & P) and monthly security patches. Late last month an update carrying the September security patch was rolled out to the Mi A1. 

That said, the Xiaomi MI A1 is now receiving a new update, that bumps the security patch level to October 2017. To go along, the update is said to improve security and fix bugs. It also improves the stability of the device and optimizes its performance.

The update is 118MB in size and is rolling out over-the-air in phases. You'll be notified when the update is available for your device, or you can check for it manually by going to Settings > About phone > System updates.

As a reminder, the Xiaomi Mi A1 features 5.5-inch Full HD display, Snapdragon 625 processor, 4GB RAM, 64GB internal storage, 12MP dual camera, 5MP front camera, fingerprint scanner and 3080mAh battery. It is available in India exclusively on Flipkart and Mi eStore for Rs. 14,999 in Black and Gold colors.
