Reliance Jio Rs. 149 plan updated, now offers unlimited data
Reliance Jio has made a change to its entry-level Rs.149 plan and is now offering unlimited data to prepaid users. Previously, the plan offered 2GB data for 28 days, and once the data exhausted, users would have to recharge top-up voucher to continue browsing the internet.
Now, the plan still comes with FUP of 2GB data for 28 days, but once the data limit has been exhausted, users can continue to browser the internet at a lower speed of 64kbps. For comparison, other plans offer speeds up to 128kbps post FUP.
With this speed users will be able to send and receive messages on WhatsApp and FB messenger, but sharing media files, or opening a website will take lot of time.
Apart from 2GB data, the Rs. 149 plan offers unlimited voice calls, SMS and access to Jio's suite of apps.
Rival Airtel also has Rs. 149 plan, but offers only 2GB data, and on-net calls for Rs. 28 days.
