Samsung Galaxy J2 (2017) launched in India


Samsung has quietly launched a new entry smartphone in India called Galaxy J2 (2017) featuring low-end specs. The phone is listed on the company's India website, with no price, but according to offline retailer Mahesh Telecom, the price tag if Rs. 7,390.

The Galaxy J2 (2017) features 4.7-inch qHD (540 x 960 pixels) Super AMOLED display and is powered by 1.3GHz quad-core processor and 2000mAh battery. It comes with 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage which can be expandable via microSD card.

The camera department includes 5MP rar camera with flash and 2MP front camera, while the connectivity options are dual-SIM support, 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS and USB OTG. 

It runs Android Nougat, and comes with a feature called Smart Manager, for automatic memory management, and delete duplicate images and saved APK files on the device. It also has Samsung's Ultra Data Saving mode that help users save up to 50 percent of mobile data.

The Galaxy J2 (2017) is available from offline stores in Metallic Gold and Absolute Black color.
