"We have been forced to suspend sales in India" - Hugo Barra's letter to Indian Mi Fans

Hugo Barra, Xiaomi's Global Vice President, late Thursday night responded to the sales ban with an open letter to Indian buyers. He posted a short letter to 'Indian Mi Fans' on his personal Facebook page.

In the letter Hugo Barra acknowledges the sales ban and says that the company is evaluating its legal options.
Dear Mi fans,
We have been committed to continue our sales of Redmi Note and Redmi 1S devices in India. In the last 2 days alone, we received about 150,000 registrations for Redmi Note on Flipkart and the momentum has been terrific.
However, we have been forced to suspend sales in India until further notice due to an order passed by the Delhi High Court. As a law abiding company, we are investigating the matter carefully and assessing our legal options.
Our sincere apologies to all Indian Mi fans! Please rest assured that we're doing all we can to revert the situation. We have greatly enjoyed our journey with you in India over the last 5 months and we firmly intend to continue it!
Stay tuned for more information.
Two days ago Xiaomi was issued a legal notice from the Delhi High Court and was ordered to stop all imports and sales in India, following complaints from Ericsson. Flipkart which was the official online shopping partner for Xiaomi’s handsets, was also directed to stop all imports and sales of the handsets till further February.
Flipkart’s website now mentions that the sales has been suspended till further notice. Registrations for the next Redmi Note sale, which was scheduled to take place next week, have been stopped too. Those who have ordered the Redmi Note handset and the Redmi 1S handsets from previous sales should be getting their devices as scheduled.

According to sources the hearing of the Xiaomi's case is scheduled for February 5. Xiaomi fans will have to wait for 2 moths till Xiaomi and Flipkart resumes sales and service operation in India.
