CES 2015 : Saygus V2 Smartphone Unveiled, Supports 320GB Storage

US-based smartphone maker Saygus announced its latest smartphone, Saygus V2 (pronounced V square) at CES 2015, Las Vegas. This is Saygus's second smartphone, the earlier VPhone failed to take off a few years ago, with V2 they are trying to make it big again. Critics consider the V2 to be the Swiss Army Knife of smartphones.

The Saygus V2 supports upto 300GB of external storage (microSD card) making it the first of its kind. In addition, the handset is offered with root access, allowing developers to create a different OS to be installed on the memory card. There is even a multi-boot capability where the device allows you to boot a separate OS from microSD card.

Coming to its specs, the Saygus V2 sports a 5-inch full-HD edge-to-edge display with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection and is powered by a 2.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, paired with 3GB RAM and 64GB internal memory [microSD card support upto 320GB]. Note that the device feature two microSD card slots.The handset runs Android 4.4.4 KitKat.

Camera features include a 21-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and 13-megapixel front facing camera. Both front and rear camera come with autofocus and OIS. Other features include fingerprint sensor, IPx7 certification for waterproofing, Harmon/Kardon speakers, infrared transmitter, 60GHz mobile transceiver, 4G LTE, and a 3,100mAh battery. 

There is no details about the pricing, but with the type of feature it offers the Saygus V2 will be a premium device.
