This New Chinese Smartphone Looks Exactly Like The iPhone 6

In the current smartphone market there have been a large number of mobile phones, manufactured by Chinese firms that resemble the iPhone. Now, Business Insider at CES 2015 have found the perfect iPhone look-a-like smartphone which runs Android OS codenamed Gold-East MS937.

The Gold-East MS-937 with its size of the bezels along the side of the screen to the gold trim looks identical to iPhone 6. Also, the circular home button looks like that of iPhone 6 but's it not outlined in gold or silver like that of iPhone 6.

Although it looks similar to iPhone 6, it is priced cheaper that the iPhone at $115 (Rs. 7300). For a price like that you do not expect the Gold-East MS937 to feature a high end hardware. The Gold-East MS937 display is not entirely HD and there is no 4G LTE support.
Coming to its specs the Gold-East MS-937 features a 5-inch IPS screen with 1280x720 resolution and is powered by 1.4GHz Mediatek MT6592M Octa-Core processor. It comes packed with 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage and runs Android KitKat 4.4.2.

Camera features include 5-megapixel rear camera and 2-megapixel front facing camera. Connectivity features include 3G, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. It is backed by 2000mAh battery.

The Gold-East MS937 is one of many phones that resembles Apple's iPhone by Chinese smartphone manufacturer. In fact, brands like Lenovo and Huawei have made well known Android smartphones that resemble iPhone. Lenovo's S90 Sisley and Huawei's Ascend P7 borrowed its design heavily from iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.

LG Electronics Wins 41 Awards At CES 2015

LG Electronics won a record 41 awards at CES 2015, Las Vegas. Among them are the LG's show-stopping G Flex2 smartphone, stunning flat and curved 4K OLED TVs and revolutionary TWIN Wash System with mini washer.

 LG has been honored by the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) which recognized 10 CES innovation awards across multiple home entertainment, home appliance and mobile device categories. The CEA also named LG, the 4K Ultra HD partener of the International CES 2015.

William Cho , president and CEO, LG Electronics USA, said:
"At the center of all our products there is the promise of innovation to provide a better life, a commitment that lies at the basis of dozens of new products launched during LG this extraordinary week in Las Vegas. This award confirms our duty to seek excellence and inspires us to continue to raise the standard of innovation for 2015 and beyond."
LG also earned top accolades from Engadget, USA Today / Reviewed.com and Digital Trends for its new curved style smartphone dubbed LG G Flex 2.

LG said in its press release - “The awards again recognized LG’s outstanding smartphone technologies and design,” . “We plan to provide users with new smart lifestyles through continuous innovations.” TechRadar reviewed the new smartphone asmore likely to be picked up by bored Android phone owners tired of the same flat design."

The G Flex 2 features a 5.5-inch display that curves inward from top to bottom. It is the first handset to be powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 810 processor. Other features include a 13-megapixel camera and a microSD slot that can fit up to 2TB of extra storage.The handset will be available in South Korea this month and will be available globally later this year.

Over the past 10 years, LG has won over 150 CES innovation awards including 10 awards in four categories in CES 2015. This is the third consecutive time, LG's OLED TV's and premium G series smartphones have been recognized with the CES innovation award.

CES 2015 : Intel's Smallest PC 'Compute Stick' runs Windows And Linux

Intel took it wraps off a new tiny sized computing device dubbed the Compute stick at this year's CES 2015. The miniature machine comes pre-loaded with Windows 8.1 or Lunux to provide full PC experience. You can plug the Compute Stick into any HDMI-equipped device like TV or monitor.

The Intel Compute Stick is a four-inch-long (10-cm) dongle which transforms any HDMI display into a computer. Intel says the Compute Stick is great for "light productivity, social networking, web browsing, streaming media, and games,". 

The Compute Stick with Windows 8.1 is powered by a quad-core Intel Atom Z3735F processor, paired with 2GB RAM and 32GB inbuilt storage with microSD card support. connectivity options include HDMI, Wi-Fi, micro-USB, and Bluetooth 4.0. The Linux variant will offer 1GB RAM and 8GB inbuilt memory.

The Compute Stick Windows 8.1 varian will be priced at $149 (Rs. 9,500), while the Linux edition will cost $89 (Rs. 6000) and will go sale later this year.

CES 2015 : LG Shows Off Its All In One Windows PC

LG showcased its all in one Windows PC at CES 2015. The first thing you will notice about the desktop is its curved ultra wide display with a 21:9 aspect ratio.

Coming to its specs, it features a 29-inch IPS display with 2560x1080 resolution . It packs some decent hardware inside. The desktop is powered by 5th-generation Intel Core i processor with i3, i5 and i7 models and is paired with NVIDIa GT840M graphics and runs Windows 8.1. Connectivity features include HDMI, USB and microSD card support and comes with chiclet keyboard and mouse.

No other details on specs, availability and price are available at the moment

CES 2015 : Lenovo Launch A6000, Will Take On Xiaomi And Yu Yureka In India

Chinese brand  Lenovo launched a new 4G enabled budget Android Smartphone dubbed A6000 at CES 2015. The handset will be launched in India via Flipkart, priced at $169 (10,000). Last year Lenovo launced the Vibe X2 exclusively on Flipkart, the company this time is opting for a similar strategy. The handset will competer against Xiaomi Redmi Note and YU Yureka 4G smartphones.

Coming to the specs, the Lenovo A6000 features a 5-inch IPS display and is powered by 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz, paired with 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage [microSD card support upto 32GB]. The handset runs Android 4.4 KitKat with Lenovo's Vibe 2.0UI.

Camera features include an 8-megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED flash and 2-megapixel front camera. The handset is backed by 2300mAh battery which is is rated to deliver up to 13 hours of talk time and up to 264 hours of standby time on 3G network. It measures 141x70x8.2mm and weighs 128 grams.

There is no details about the availability of the Lenovo A6000 handset in India.

CES 2015 : MSI Launch GT80 Titan Gaming Laptop With Mechanical Keyboard

Taiwanese electronics company MSI (Microstar international) is a popular name in the world of gaming laptops. At the ongoing CES 2015 the company unveiled the GT80 Titan that stands out for one feature - its Cherry MX Brown switch mechanical keyboard. MSI claims that it is the first ever gaming laptop with such a keyboard. On the side of the Keyboard, there is an digital trackpad which also serves as numberpad.

The MSI GT80 Titan will be offered in two variants - Titan SLI009 and SLI-001. Both laptop features an 18.4-inch full HD display and is poweredby an Intel Core i7-4980HQ or Core i7-4720HQ processor paired with Dual NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980M SLI graphics processor for gaming, 24GB RAM and 128GB M.2 SATA SSD and 1TB hard disk drive storage.

Other features include Sound Blaster Cinema 2, Dynaudio speakers with a subwoofer, full-HD webcam, five USB 3.0 ports, HDMI port, Bluetooth, Killer E2200 Game Networking, Killer N1525 Wireless-AC, and a 9-cell battery.

According to MSI the starting price of the GT80 Titan is at $3299 (Rs. 2,10,000). Gamers can also purchase an even faster model featuring a Core i7-4940MX processor for $3,499 (Rs. 2,21,00). The laptop will be available with a two-year warranty, and will go on sale across the globe in coming months.

CES 2015 : Saygus V2 Smartphone Unveiled, Supports 320GB Storage

US-based smartphone maker Saygus announced its latest smartphone, Saygus V2 (pronounced V square) at CES 2015, Las Vegas. This is Saygus's second smartphone, the earlier VPhone failed to take off a few years ago, with V2 they are trying to make it big again. Critics consider the V2 to be the Swiss Army Knife of smartphones.

The Saygus V2 supports upto 300GB of external storage (microSD card) making it the first of its kind. In addition, the handset is offered with root access, allowing developers to create a different OS to be installed on the memory card. There is even a multi-boot capability where the device allows you to boot a separate OS from microSD card.

Coming to its specs, the Saygus V2 sports a 5-inch full-HD edge-to-edge display with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection and is powered by a 2.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, paired with 3GB RAM and 64GB internal memory [microSD card support upto 320GB]. Note that the device feature two microSD card slots.The handset runs Android 4.4.4 KitKat.

Camera features include a 21-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and 13-megapixel front facing camera. Both front and rear camera come with autofocus and OIS. Other features include fingerprint sensor, IPx7 certification for waterproofing, Harmon/Kardon speakers, infrared transmitter, 60GHz mobile transceiver, 4G LTE, and a 3,100mAh battery. 

There is no details about the pricing, but with the type of feature it offers the Saygus V2 will be a premium device.

CES 2015 : Dell Rolls Out Alienware 15 And 17 Gaming Laptops

Dell announced the all new Alienware laptops at CES 2015, Las Vegas. The laptop has got two new thinner and lighter versions - Alienware 15 and Alienware 17. The laptops come with all new design and more power. These laptops are the best you will find in the market which will let you experience high-performance gaming.

The laptops are made of elements such as copper, aluminium and carbon fibre composites for the outershell. Both laptop offers full HD touchscreen displays, the Alienware 15 offers and optional 4K touchscreen display.

The Alienware 15 and Alienware 17 gaming laptops can be configured with Intel Core i5 or i7 processors, with upto 16GB RAM and NVIDIA's GTX 980m graphics. The laptops are compatible with Alienware Graphics Amplifier - an accessory that allows user to plug full-size desktop GPU into the laptop. No other details are available.

The Alienware 15 and Alienware 17 is priced at $1,199 (Rs.76,000) and $1,499 respectively and is now available for purchase on Dell's website. The Game Amplifier will cost you $299 (Rs.18,000).

CES 2015 : Dell Launch New XPS Laptops

Dell announced two new models of laptop in its XPS series - XPS 13 and XPS 15 at CES 2015.
The XPS 13 is touted to be the world's smallest 13-inch Laptop, on the other hand the XPS 15 is saidto have the highest resolution panel available on a 15-inch laptop today.

The XPS 13 is light because of its compact form factor and lightweight design at 1.17kg. The XPS 13 sports a boarderless infinity display and comes with an edge-to-edge 13-inch  screen with 5.2mm bezels. It is offered in  13.3-inch FHD and UltraSharp QHD+ resolution display variant. The XPS 15 comes in three differen touchscreen variants - 15.6-inch FHD, UltraSharp QHD+ and UltraSharp 4K Ultra HD.

Both XPS 13 and XPS 15 features fifth-generation Intel Broadwell U Core processors, from the 2.1GHz Core i3 to 3.2GHz Core i7 CPUs. Storage options include 128GB, 256GB or 512GB SSD, with a choice of 4GB or 8GB of RAM and Intel HD 4400 and NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M GPU graphics choices. Other common features include stereo speakers, HD webcam with dual array microphones, Windows 8.1/Windows 7, Miracast support, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC and dual-band Wi-Fi.

The Dell XPS 13 was immediately released for the US market and can be purchased for $799 (Rs.50,000), while the XPS 15 will be released soon with stating price of $2349 (Rs.1,50,000) depending on the variants.

CES 2015 :BlackBerry Announce BBM For Android Wear

Canadian smartphone manufacturer BlackBerry announced that its BBM messaging service would be soon available fot Android Wear at a present event at CES 2015.

The BBM app for Android will also get an update with new features that will let you view and reply to messages directly from your smartwatch. You will also be able to review and accept BBM invites directly from Android Wear, flip through messages, and a list of pre-defined templates to quickly send a response. Additionally, you can also respond to the message using Google Now voice commands. 

When BBM was launched, it was limited to only BlackBerry devices. In October 2013 it was made available for Android and iOS devices followed by, Windows Phone, for which the messenger was released in August.

BlackBerry says that the BBM for Android Wear will be its first step to support coss-platfrom technology. The BBM will launch for Android Wear in Early 2015.

CES 2015 : Sony Unveils SmartEyeGlass Attach and Smart-B Trainer Headset

Sony unveiled two new wearables - SmartEyeGlass Attach and Smart-B Trainer headset at CES 2015, Las Vegas.

The SmartEyeGlass Attach is a single lens display modulator which can be attached to to glasses to provide a small heads-up display for the user, which will work with various apps. It features 0.23-inch OLED micro-display unit, Cortex A7 processor, accelerometer, electronic sensor, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and 400mAh battery. It weighs 40 grams. The OLED display produces a semi-presistent image which is bright and vivid. You can connect to the SmartEyeGlass to your Android smartphone or tablet via Bluetooth.

On the other hand, The Smart-B Trainer is a prototype. It is a waterproof headset which features fitness sensors, designed for runner. It can play music via its integrated memory. The device is able to pick suitable tunes to accompany a particular workout along with voice coaching functionality.

There are no more details available as the wearables are prototypes and far from finished products.

CES 2015 : LG Smartwatch With WebOS Designed For Audi Teased

At the ongoing CES 2015, LG teased a new smartwatch exculsively designed for Audi cars. The smartwatch looks similar to LG G watch and can control the Audi car effortlessly. The smartwatch was showcased by Audi at its Booth.

The premium-looking smartwach designed for LG runs webOS and not the Android wear [reported by Android Central]. The smartwatch sports a new metal face along with a leather strap with three-button design. The official name and specifications of the smart watch are not known.

Whats is webOS ? webOS, is a Linux kernel-based OS for smart TVs, and formerly a mobile operating system. Initially developed by Palm, which was acquired by Hewlett-Packard, HP made the platform open source, and it became Open webOS. [From Wikipedia]

Audi's Board member Ulrich Hackenberg demonstrated a self-driving car on the stage with the help of the LG smartwatch he was wearing. In the demonstration the smartwatch was able to start the Audi Prologue's engine by a simple tap.

The smartwatch can also be used to drive the car for a short distance, lock the Audi car, tweak climate control settings and operate stereo. The watch connects with car through NFC. It also includes features from traditional smartwatch like monitoring driver's temperature and heart beat rate.

Audi also announced that it will work with Samsung and Nvidia to further advance the tech used in their cars.

CES 2015 : LG Shows Off Dual-Edge P-OLED Display Smartphone

At the ongoing CES 2015, LG revealed the new flexible phone LG G Flex 2, however the company had more surprise.

Korean site inews24 posted picture of LG's new prototype smartphone with dual-edge display and curved on two sides. The device was shown at a private event during CES 2015.
Last year Samsung launched the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge which had one side covered by curved display.

LG Display's press statement had announced that it will showcase some  "Leading Technology, Great Design and Picture Quality, and Differentiation" at its private showroom to select customers.

The prototype LG smartphone features 6-inch HD display with a disappointing 720p resolution. It sports a 'Active Bending' P-OLED display. P-OLED display technology was first seen in the LG G Flex, and is present on the LG G Flex2 as well. No details on the specifications have surfaced apart from the details of the screen.

While LG works on its dual edge P-OLED display smartphone there are rumors that Samsung Galaxy S6 will have curves on both side. Even there are rumors that Xiaomi is working on a Smartphone dubbed Xiaomi Arch with dual edge display.

CES 2015 : Lenovo Announce Lavie Z Series, The World’s Lightest 13-Inch Convertible, Laptop

Lenovo on Monday introduced a new LaVie Z series of laptops at CES 2015, Las Vegas. The firm announced ultra-portable LaVie HZ550 and the world's lightest convertible notebook dubbed LaVie ZH750. The magnesium-lithium construction is responsible for the light weight of the convertible notebooks.

Note that, the LaVie Z  is actually the product of a Joint venture between Lenovo and NEC, where the two companies design and sell NEC-branded PC's only for the Japanese market. The Japanese company put an end to that by announcing the LaVie Z series for the international market.

The LaVie Z is actually the product of a partnership Lenovo has had with NEC since 2011, where the two companies would design and sell NEC-branded PCs intended only for the Japanese market. These two systems are the first from this partnership that will be sold outside of Japan.

Both LaVie HZ550 and LaVie HZ750 feature 13.3-inch WQHD display. The LaVie HZ550 comes with a 180-degree rotatable hinge while the LaVie HZ750 comes with 360-degree hinge, which lets you use the notebook as tablet. Other common features include Windows 8.1, Intel HD integrated graphics, USB 3.0, HDMI port, 128GB of solid state drive storage, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, and HD webcams.

Indiviually the LaVie HZ550 will feature Intel's Core i7 fifth-gen processor, 4GB of RAM, and a 4-cell battery. The LaVie HZ750 on the other hand will feature Intel's Core i5 processor, up to 8GB of RAM, and a 6-cell battery.

The Lenovo LaVie HZ550 and HZ750 will be priced at $1,299 (Rs. 82,500) and $1,499 ( Rs. 95,000). and will go in sale in May this year initially in the US. Internation pricing and availability details are yet to be know.

CES 2015 : ASUS Launch 3 Transformer Book Chi Laptop/Tablet Hybrids

ASUS launched trio of Transformers Book Chi Series of ultra-thin detachables at CES 2015. The hybrids can act as both standalone tablet or a laptop (when connected to keyboard). All three tablets, Transformer Book T-90, Transformer Book T100 and Transformer Book T90 run windows 8.1 and feature bundled keyboard docks. The Keyboard dock comes in the retail price and connects to the tablet via magnetic hinge or Bluetooth.
Transformer Book T90
The Transformer Book T90 and T100 feature a 8.9-inch and 10.1 inch scrren size respectively. Both hybrids are powered by 1.46GHz Intel Atom Z3775 processor and will be available in 32GB and 64GB Inbuilt storage variants. It sports Type B USB ports, which supports USB 3.0. No other details are known at the moment but it has been revealed that the T90 chi and T100chi are 7.5mm and 7.2mm thick respectively.
Transformer Book T100
The Transformer Book T300 is the main highlight of the event which is Macbook Air alternative with its slim design measuring 1.65-inches even when the keyboard is docked. The T300 chi features 12.5-inch screen size and is available in two display resolutions- full-HD (1920x1080 pixels) and QHD (2560x1440 pixels). The T300 chi is powered by Intel's fanless Core M Broadwell processor. It offer 128GB of SSD storage and also sports Type B USB ports, which supports USB 3.0.  Other features are yet to be known.

The ASUS Transformer Book T90 and T100 will be priced at $299 (Rs.19,000) and $ 399 (Rs. 25,300) respectively. The ASUS Tranfromer Book will be priced at $699 (Rs, 45,000) and $799 (Rs. 50,000) based on the screen resolution. The devices will go on sale in the US in February. There is no details on availability and price for international market.

CES 2015 : Intel Unveils Curie, A Brand New Wearable Processor


Intel's CEO Brian Krzanich at the comapny's keynote address unveiled Intel's curie module - a brand new wearable processor which he held with two fingers in front of the audience at CES 2015, Las Vegas. The 'Curie' is so tiny as it was barely visible to the audience during on-stage demonstration. It resembles the size and shape of a button.

The button-sized 'Curie' can go into just about anything we slip on or strap to ourselves like ring, band, bags, bracelets, pendants and watch to name a few. It's also low power—a crucial feature for slim gadgets that couldn’t possibly house a giant battery. 

The 'Curie' comes with Intel's Quark SE SoC which is a small sized chipset which comes with a 32-bit lower power mico-controller that has 384KB flash memory and 80KB SRAM. It has accelerometer, gyroscope and Bluetooth LE and is meant to keep track of gestures and movements. The 'Curie' can be powered by coin cells like those used in watch.

The Intel 'Curie' will be available in second half of 2015 as it is still waiting for US FCC authorisation.



CES 2015 : Lenovo Launch Tab 2 A7-10 and Tab 2 A7-30 Android Tablets

Lenovo launched two new affordable Android tablets dubbed Lenovo Tab 2 A7-10 and Lenovo Tab 2 A7-30 at CES 2015, Las Vegas. Both Tablets look identical and share share similar specs.

The Lenovo Tab 2 A7-10 features a 7-inch IPS display with 1,024 x 600 pixels and  is powered by 1.3GHz quad-core Mediatek MT8127, paired with 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage. [microSD card support upto 32GB]. The tablet runs Android 4.4 KitKat. Other features include 0.3-megapixel front facing camera, front-facing speakers with Dolby Audio, Bluetooth 4.0 and 3,450mAh battery. Note that, there is no rear camera. The tablet will be available in Wi-Fi only Ebony Black Colour variant.
Lenovo Tab 2 A7-30
On the other hand, the Lenovo Tab 2 A7-30 features the same 7-inch IPS display and is powered by 1.3 GHz quad-core Mediatek MT8382 processors, paired with 1GB RAM and 16GB internal storage [microSD card support upto 32GB]. The tablet runs Android 4.4 KitKat.

Camera features include 2-megapixel rear camera and 0.3-megapixel front facing camera. Other features include 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, front-facing speakers with Dolby Audio and 3,450mAh battery. The Tablet will be available in Aqua Blue, Ebony Black, Cotton Candy And Pearl White Colour variants. Note that the Tab 2 A7-30 is a voice calling tab.

The Lenovo Tab 2 A7-10 and Tab 2 A7-30 are priced at $99 (Rs. 6000) and $129 (Rs. 8,000) and will be available in January and March respectively.

CES 2015 : Toshiba Announce Portable Storage Devices

Alongside the Encore 2 Write and Portege Z20t, Toshiba also announced new storage and back devices at CES 2015. They include Transfer Jet, FlashAir III wireless SD card, Canvio Connect II and Canvio Basics portable Hard drives.

Toshiba released the first TransferJet adapter for iOS devices. It also announced the 2nd gen USB adapter for Windows and MicroUSB adapter for Android. The TransferJet adapter offers a fast wireless data transfer of 560 mbps between two points - PC and mobile device. It will be available in March 2015 in Japan, followed by Europe, the Americas and Asia  for $80 (Rs.5000).
The Toshiba FlashAir III wireless SD card transfers data on Wi-Fi network. Images videos and files can be transferred wirelessly. It features enhanced photo sharing and web interface for managing your files on a PC. Users can share and easily manage files from a web browser on a PC. The card will be available in two capacities 16GB and 32GB. It also supports simultaneous access from up to seven devices. Toshiba also offers a FlashAir mobile app for iOS and Android-based devices. It will be available in March 2015 and will cost $80 (Rs. 5,000) for 16GB variant and $100 (Rs. 6,000) for 32GB variant.
The Canvio Connect II portable hard drive comes with remote access via PogoPlug and local and cloud backup. The PogoPlug feature can be used to view and share files over the internet and stream content to mobile devices. It comes in storage capacities of 500GB, 1TB, 2TB and 3TB storage. You can secure backups with user defined password protection or schedule backups for your local files and folders to a 10GB Cloud service. The Canvio Connect II portable hard drive is available in five colors: black, white, blue, red and satin gold. The Canvio Connect II 500GB, 1TB and 2TB will cost $100 (Rs.6,000), $120 (Rs. 7,500) and $ 200 (Rs. 12,000) respectively. The 3TB storage variant will release later this year.
Finally, the Canvio Basic is a 3TB  portable hard drive. The portable hard drive supports USB 3.0 for rapid transfer speeds. The Cais equipped with shock sensor and ramp loading technology that is designed to keep your digital files safer if accidentally dropped. It is available in White, silver or Black colours. The 3TB Toshiba Canvio Basics portable hard drive will also be available for purchase in March for $190 (Rs. 11,500).

CES 2015 : Toshiba Announce Portege Z20t Laptop-Tablet Hybrid

Toshiba announced a new detachable Laptop/Tablet Hybrid - Portege Z20t at CES 2015, Las Vegas. The Laptop comes with a detachable keyboard and also support Wacom-made digitizer pen with 2,048 points of sensitivity for advanced levels of handwriting recognition.

Toshiba claims that the Portege Z20t provide up to 9 hours of battery life and with the keyboard battery combined, it can deliver up to 17.5 hours of battery life.

Coming to the specs, the Portege Z20t features a 12.5-inch full-HD IPS display and is powered by the fanless Intel Core M processors. The Laptop will be available with options of Windows 7 Professional or Windows 8.1, 4GB or 8GB RAM and 128GB, 256GB and 512GB of SSD storage.

Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.0, Micro-USB, Micro-HDMI, Ethernet, RGB, and microSD card slot. The connectivity option on keyboard include HDMI port, Ethernet port, and two USB 3.0 ports.

The Portege Z20t with keyboard and digitizer pen will be available in market later this month and will cost $1,399 (Rs. 88,600). The standalone tablet will cost $899 (Rs. 57,000) and will be available in February.

CES 2015 : Toshiba Announce Encore 2 Write Tablet With Wacom Pen Support

Toshiba launched its latest Windows Tablet - the Encore 2 Write. The tablet come in 8-inch and 10-inch display variants with Toshiba’s TruPen with Wacom Feel stylus technology. The tablet sports a satin gold matte finish.

The 8-inch and 10-inch Encore 2 Write offer a resolution of 1,280 x 800 pixels. The Tablets are powered by an Intel Atom processor paired with 2GB RAM and 64GB inbuilt storage [microSD card support upto 128GB]. The Tablet runs Windows 8.1 with Bing. Camera features include 8-megapixel rear camera and HD Webcam on front. Other features include micro-USB port and a micro-HDMI port.

The tablet comes with a one-year subscription to Microsoft Office 365 along with preinstalled apps like TruNote, TruRecorder, and TruCapture.

The Toshiba Encore2 Write tablets will be available in United States starting January 11. The 8-inch and 10-inch variant will cost $350 (Rs.22,000) and $500 (Rs. 31,500) respectively.
