Razer Announce Refreshed 'Blade' Gaming Laptop With GTX 970M, 16GB RAM


Razer announced a new edition of its 14-inch Blade gaming laptop which the company claims to be "World's thinnest and lightest". The laptop is now on sale on the company's website for a starting price of $2,200.

The Razer 2015 edition features a 14-inch IGZO (Indium Gallium Zinc Oxide) touchscreen display with 3200x1800 screen resolution. It is powered by Intel Core i7-4720HQ Quad Core processor clocked at 2.6GH. It packs 16GB RAM and the gaming graphics are handled by  NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970M with 3GB video memory. It comes in 128GB/256GB/512GB SSD storage options. It runs Windows 8.1

Connectivity features include 3 USB 3.0 ports, HDMI port, 802.11ac Wi-Fi , Bluetooth 4.0 and 3.5mm microphone/headphone combo jack. Other features include stereo speakers, 2.0-megapixel full-HD webcam, TPM 2.0, Anti-Ghosting keyboard, Razer Synapse and Kensington lock. The laptop is backed by 70Wh rechargable lithium ion polymer battery. It measures 345x17.8x235 mm and weighs 4.47 pounds. 

Razer is also offering a cheaper version of the Razer Blade 2015. It features 14-inch non-touchscreen IPS display with screen resolution of 1920x1080. It packs 8GB RAM and houses 256GB SSD storage. Other features will remain the same. It will be priced at $2000 and will go on sale in February.
