The gaming centric Razer Phone is picking up a new update that brings improvements to the camera and audio. The update weighs in at 95MB and brings improvements to shutter speed in low light conditions when using HDR, as well as improved picture quality and reduced noise. There are also some bug fixes and performance improvements. As for the Audio, the update improves call quality for HD audio and fixes Dolby audio related issues. The changelog also mentions "Tweaked the knobs" for better audio playback. The Razer Phone still runs Android Nougat, and stays on October Android security patch level. To recap, the Razer Phone was unveiled last month as a phone designed for gamers. It features 5.72-inch QHD Ultramotion display with 120Hz refresh rate, Snapdragon 835 processor, 8GB RAM, 64GB internal storage, 12MP dual camera, 8MP front camera, fingerprint scanner, USB Type-C, NFC and 4000mAh battery. The Razer Phone is now available for purchase in the U.S and comes with features like 5.7-inch QHD 120Hz display, Snapdragon 835 chip, 8GB RAM and 4000mAh battery. But, it ditches the 3.5mm audio jack in favor of USB Type-C Audio. To complement Razer Phone's 3.5mm audio jack-less design, Razer has launched Hammerhead USB-C earbuds. However, it will work with any Android device with a USB-C port. The Hammerhead USB-C houses a custom-tuned DAC converter with digital output to produce clean, unprocessed audio from a USB-C enabled Android phone. It features highly durable aluminum chassis, flat cables, and bi-flange ear-tips for passive noise isolation. The audio is powered by 10mm dynamic drives to produce deeper bass tones and clear highs. Razer has introduced a new version of their BlackWidow Ultimate mechanical gaming keyboard, which is now more durable and reliable. The water and dust resistant Razer BlackWidow is priced at $109.99 (Rs. 7,000) and is now available in the U.S via Razer's online store. It will be available worldwide before the end of this year.
As expected, Razer has set foot into the smartphone market, and is launching its first smartphone Razer Phone designed for the gamers. It has most of the features you did expect from a top end flagship phone in 2017, but it gets some special features. The Razer Phone features 5.72-inch QHD (2560 x 1440 pixels) Ultramotion display with 120Hz refresh rate and Wide Color Gamut. This means the phone's screen can display 120 frames every second and produce accurate colors and smooth animation. The G-Sync-like UltraMotion technology on the other hand synchronizes the GPU and display to remove the image tearing ot lag, while driving efficient power usage. Speaking of the performance, the Razer Phone is equipped with Snapdragon 835 processor, 8GB RAM and 64GB internal storage, which is expandable via microSD card. It runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat, and Razer promises Android Oreo by Spring 2018. It packs 4000mAh battery, that promises up to 12.5 hours of run time while watching movies, up to 63 hours of music playback, or up to seven hours of run time while playing Heartstone. There's also support for Qualcomm Quick Charge 4+ technology which lets you go from 0 to 85 percent charge in one hour. For photography, there's dual 12MP camera consisting of a wide angle lens (f/1.75 aperture), and the other with telephoto lens (f/2.6 aperture) for 2x zoom. For selfie you get an 8MP front shooter.
In terms of connectivity the phone supports 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, USB Type-C and NFC. It also gets stereo speaker, and each speaker has its own dedicated amplifier, and the phone support Dolby Atmos audio certified by THX. A fingerprint scanner, that's located at the back, completes the specs list. All this is packed into a body that measures 8mm and weighs 197g. Unfortunately, there's no 3.5mm audio jack. Razer has also partnered with Tencent, Square Enix and many others to bring top games optimized for the 120fps screen, to take full advantage of the Razer Phone's special features. Some of the gaming titles include Arena of Valor, Final Fantasy XV Pocket Edition, Gear Club, Shadowgun Legends, Tekken and more. It also announced Theme Store, that allows users to customize their phone, change wallpapers, icon packs and colors throughout the phone. It also includes custom ringtones by Razer DJs and custom wallpapers inspired by the world’s top gaming titles, such as “Shadowgun Legends”.
Coming to the pricing, the Razer Phone is priced at $699.99 Rs. 45,000) and will go on sale in North America and Europe starting November 17. Razer will also sell a special edition of Razer Phone with Razer's iconic green triple-headed snake logo in limited quantityu of 1337 units.

Now ahead of the unveiling the Razer Phone was found listed on UK-based e-commerce site 3G alongside some specifications. In line with the specs outed by GFXBench, the page reveals that the Razer Phone will feature 5.72-inch IGZO dispay with 120Hz refresh rate and Wide Color Gamut. This means the phone's screen can display 120 frames every second and produce accurate colors and smooth animation. 120Hz refresh rate is rarely seen on a smartphone display, as most flagship have 60Hz refresh rate. Notably Apple's iPad Pro tablet and Sharp's recently announced Aquos R and Aquos R Compact come with 120Hz display. The listing further reveals that the Razer Phone will be equipped with 8GB RAM, 64GB internal storage, dual-camera setup at the rear comprising of a 12MP f/1.75 wide angle sensor + 13MP f/2.6 sensor, and 4000mAh battery. The Razer Kiyo is said to be the world's first ever webcam to be equipped with an adjustable ring light, that helps provide professional-grade lighting for high quality streaming. Razer is upgrading its powerful Blade Stealth gaming ultrabook with a new model, that now comes with eight gen Intel quad-core Kaby Lake-R processors. To remind you, the last upgrade it received was in June to Kaby Lake dual-core processor, and with a larger display size of 13-inch. The new model still has 13.3-inch 3200 x 1800 IGZO touch display with 170-degree viewing angles and 400 nits of brightness, but is now equipped with Intel i7-8550U quad-core processor, clocked at 1.8GHz, which can be boosted to 4.0GHz. Apart from the processor, everything else is same as the June 2017 model. It comes with 16GB RAM and 512GB PCIe SSD. Other features include HD camera, 2 x USB 3.0 ports, an HDMI 2.0 port, Bluetooth 4.1, WiFi 802.11ac, a headset jack, stereo speakers and backlit keyboard.
Alongside the Blade Stealth, Razer is also upgrading the companion Core external GPU hub, that lets you add your own graphics cards. The new version is called Razer Core V2 and has an updated internal design that can fit a range of taller graphics card. Popular gaming accessories and laptop maker Razer is likely to debut its first smartphone on November 1, and now thanks to a benchmark listing we get to know the devices specs. A phone described as Razer Phone was spotted on GFXBench database, and the listing indicates that the phone will be a powerhouse, and will be competing with big guns like Samsung's Galaxy Note8, LG's V30, OnePlus 3, Mi MIX 2 among others. According to GFXBench, the Razer Phone will have 5.7-inch display bearing the resolution 2560 x 1440 pixels with the regular 16:9 aspect ratio. It will be equipped with octa-core Snapdragon 835 processor with Adreno 540 GPU and come with whooping 8GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. It will 12MP rear camera with HDR support and 4K video recording support, while the selfies will be handled by an 8MP sensor. It will run a customized version of Android 7.1.1 Nougat and support WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS and NFC connectivity. Razer, a company well known for making gaming laptops and accessories, acquired Nextbit, the maker of Robin earlier this year. This led to rumors that Razer is foraying into the smartphone market, and later the company confirmed that its making a smartphone designed for hardcore gamers. Now Razer is all set to launch it. Razer has announced that it will announce something on November 1, that's likely to be a smartphone. It also shared a teaser on Twitter that shows a man holding what appears to be a smartphone-like device in his hands. Unfortunately details about Razer's smartphone is scarce, but since it is targeted at gamers, we can expected top-end hardware. Also given that Razer owns the makers of Robin, we can expect the company to integrate cloud based service into the phone. This is not the first time, a company has designed a smartphone for gamers. Nextbit, the maker of kickstarter-backed cloud-first Robin smartphone, that was acquired by Razer earlier this year, has announced that it has officially shut down customer support for its only smartphone, Robin. This means the company will no longer offer technical support over phone or chat and support warranty claims. The company has already stopped selling the Robin smartphone. "Rebels, effective August 1, 2017, we’ve shut down support for Robin. You won’t be able to reach us by phone or chat anymore, but any outstanding RMA tickets will be handled via email" That said, if your Robin smartphone runs into any trouble, Nextbit is suggesting Robin users to visit the self-help section at help.nextbit.com, or get help from other Robin users in its forum. Although Nextbit is shutting down customer support for Robin, the company has again promised that the Robin will get software updates as well as security patches until February 2018. It's worth mentioning that the Robin shipped with Android Marshmallow, however, the phone's software is up to date now running Android 7.1.1. The Robin was launched in early 2016 and was a mid-range smartphone. The new Razer Stealth has 13.3-inch display, and the bezels have been reduced by 50 percent to squeeze the bigger display into the same 0.52-inch chassis of its predecessor. The 13-3-inch model sports 3200 x 1800 IGZO touch screen panel with 170 degree viewing angles, 100% sRGB color gamut coverage and 400 nits of brightness. It comes with Intels Core i7-7500 U processor, up to 16GB RAM, and up to 1TB PCIe SSD. Razer is upgrading its 17-inch Blade Pro top-end gaming laptop with Kaby Lake processor, faster memory and a higher price tag. The new Razer Blade Pro comes with an overclockable quad-core Kaby Lake Core i7-7820HQ (2.9GHz base / 3.9 GHz Turbo) and the 32GB RAM has received a bump to 2667MHz from the 2133MHz of the previous model. Razer says that you can overclock the CPU core to 4.3GHz by enabling "High Performance Mode". It also gets THX certification for both screen and audio jack. Razer says that Blade Pro is the first laptop to be qualified for THX Mobile certification which is "an accreditation reserved for high-performance mobile phones, tablets and laptops". The Razer Blade Pro's screen has been calibrated and tested for resolution, color accuracy and video playback performance via THX processes. Similarly the audio jack meets THX requirements for voltage output, frequency response, distortion, signal-to-noise ratio, and crosstalk that guarantees clear sound through headphones. As for the rest of the specs, nothing has changed. Popular gaming accessories and laptop maker Razer has announced a new Power Bank to charge devices especially laptops on the go. The Razer Power Bank has a capacity of 12800mAh, 46WH battery with support for Qualcomm's Quick Charge 3.0. Razer says the power bank is optimized to work with Razer's 12.5-inch Blade Stealth laptop, and offers an additional six hours of run time, taking the combined runtime up to 15 hours. Nextbit, the makers of the cloud-first Robin smartphone has announced that, the company has been acquired by gaming laptops and PC accessories manufacturer Razer. Nextbit will be operating as an independent division inside Razer, under its own management, and will focus on bringing unique mobile design and experiences. Nextbit and Razer closed the acquisition earlier this month, but the financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. The company has also announced that it has halted sales of the Robin smartphones and all accessories through its official channels. However, Nextbit will continue to offer support including software updates and security updates through February, 2018, and the company will fulfill warranties for six more months. Nextbit also confirmed that the Robin 2 is not coming out anytime soon.
To refresh, Nextbit is a San-Francisco based company founded by former members of Google's Android team, along with former design head at HTC in 2015. The first smartphone Robin was launched via a Kickstarter campaign, in September 2015, which turned to be successful, and later the phone reached many markets including India. The main highlight of Robin was that, it offered 100GB of cloud storage, so that users backup least used apps, photos, videos to the cloud and free up space in the smartphone. With the acquisition, Razer, which until now focused on making gaming PCs and accessories, will be looking to make smartphones in the near future.
At CES, 2107 in Las Vegas, Razer announced an unique product called Project Valerie. It's a prototype gaming laptop that sports three 17.3-inch IGZO displays with 4K resolution backed by NVIDIA's G-Sync montior technology to deliver enhanced multi-display experience. It also has 100 percent Adobe RGB color accuracy and an automatic deployment mechanisms that allows the display to slide out of the side of the main screen and adjust into their place. The gaming laptop packs 3GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 graphics card and supports NVIDIA's Surround, and a vapor-chamber cooling rig to keep the machine cool when playing high-end graphic games. The hardware on-board is also capable of driving games on an Oculus Rift or HTC Vive VR headset. Other features include aluminum chassis, mechanical switches, Razer Chroma, keyboard with trackpad. “Project Valerie is the second Razer notebook to utilize Razer’s Ultra-Low-Profile Mechanical switches. Each switch features a true actuation and reset point. Key presses are registered with 65 grams of force, mimicking the feel of full-size mechanical keyboards. The keyboard, trackpad, extended monitors are also Powered by Razer Chroma, which unlocks a virtually endless array of dazzling lighting effects that can be customized by the user or synced to in-game events,” said Razer in blog post. PC gaming brand Razer has announced its most powerful laptop to date equipped with high-end specification that Razer wants you to see as a gaming desktop PC replacement The Razer Blade Pro is a gaming notebook with 17.3-inch display (3840 x 2160 pixels) UHD IGZO touch screen display with NVIDIA G-Sync support, a quad-core Intel Core i7-6700HQ processor, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 graphics card, up to 2TB of PCI M.2 SSD and 32GB DDR4-2133 RAM. It also features a full sized mechanical keyboard with a touchpad on the right side. The laptop includes 2MP webcam, a Killer DoubleShot Pro network card with 801.11ac, Bluetooth 4.2 and Gigabit Ethernet, 3 x USB 3.0 ports, a Thunderbolt 3/USB Type-C port, and HDMI port and a SD card reader. It also has the world's thinnest vapor chamber cooling solution. All this is encased in a unibody CNC alumium chassis that measures 6.7″ x 11″ x 0.9 inches thick and weighs 7.98 pounds. It is also powerful enough to be VR-ready for both the Oculus and HTC Vive.

The Razer Blade Pro carries a starting price of $3699 for the 512GB SSD model, making it one of the most expensive laptops to date. There are two more configurations available: 1TB SSD at $3,999 and 2TB SSD at 4,499. It will be available in November. Via 1 | 2
Popular gaming accessories maker Razer has introduced a Mechanical Keykoard Case for the 12.9-inch Apple iPad Pro, the first iPad keyboard to come with mechanical keys. The Mechanical Keyboard case features a backlit QWERT keyboard, a metal kickstand and Razer's new "ultra-low profile mechanical keyboard switch". Razer says its Mechanical Keyboard comes with a 70 g actuation force Optimized actuation and reset points, delivering the exact same performance and feel as a full-fledged mechanical keyboard. The iPad Pro snaps into a polycarbonate protective case when in use, and pairs with the tablet over Bluetooth. The metal kickstand lets you position the display at any angle. On a single charge it offers up to 600 hours of typing time with backlight turned off and up to 10 hours with backlight enable (at maximum brightness).
