Asus ROG G501 specifications and price
Asus ROG, last month announced the G501 ultra-slim gaming notebook and claimed it to be the “coolest and quietest thin and light gaming notebook on the market!”.
At the time of announcement, key features were mentioned that included 15-inch display, quad-core CPU, NVIDIA 900 series GPU but it did not specify which CPU and GPU will be offered.
Now, earlier this month (March 16), Asus ROG launched the G501 gaming notebook and now we have the full specs and pricing details.
The Asus ROG G510 is a thin and light 15.6-inch gaming laptop with 4K Ultra High Definition display. It is powered by an Intel Core i7-4720HQ processor clocked from 2.6GHz to 3.6GHz.
Graphics are handled by NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960M GPU with 4GB GDDR5. According to Asus the GTX 960M GPU delivers "sharp, vivid visuals, high-quality textures and smooth framerates in the most demanding games,"
The gaming laptop packs 16GB RAM and for storage there is a 512GB SDD. It runs Windows 8.1 and comes with Asus's Hyper cool technology and a pair for fans to cool the CPU and GPU while playing games.
Connectivity options include Thunderbolt port, three USB 3.0 ports, HDMI, Bluetooth 4.0 and Wi-Fi 802.11ac. There is also a SD card reader and HD web camera. It is backed by 96wh battery.
The Asus ROG G501 is priced at $1,999 (Rs. 1,20,000) and begins shipping in the US in April.
