HP unveils Spectre x360 2-in-1 ultrabook with ultra-thin and light design


HP on Sunday presented it latest covertible PC called Spectre x360 at MWC 2015, Barcelona.

The HP Spectre x360 is designed with an all CNC aluminum chassis and is 15.9 millimeters in height and weighs 3.3 pounds. The hybrid comes with 360-degree rotatable hinges whill allows you to transform it in four different modes - laptop mode for work, stand mode for viewing entertainment like watching movies, tent mode for touchscreen entertainment like games, or tablet mode for on the go.

The HP Spectre x360 includes a full-sized, 1.5 millimeter travel keyboard and an extra-wide glass touchpad for improved day-to-day usability.

The HP Spectre x360 features a 13.3-inch LED-backlit touchscreen display with up to quad-HD resolution. It is powered by up to 5th gen Intel Core i7-5500U processor and the graphics is handled by Intel HD Graphics 5500. It houses 8GB RAM and 512GB SSD storage drive. The device runs Windows 8.1 operating system, and offers up to 12.5 hours of battery life.

Other features include HP TrueVision full-HD webcam with integrated dual digital microphones, stereo speakers, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, SD card slot, a full-size HDMI port and a MiniDisplay 1.2 port.. It also has three USB 3.0 ports ith HP USB Sleep and Charge so users can charge their devices on the go even when in sleep mode.

The HP Spectre x360 is expected to be available in the United States on March 1, 2015 at HP.com and Best Buy on March 15, 2015. It is available in the following configurations:

  • HP Spectre x360 with Intel® Core™ i5 Processor, Full HD touchscreen display, 4GB LPDDR3 system memory and a 128GB SSD is $899.99.
  • HP Spectre x360 with Intel® Core™ i7, Full HD touchscreen, 8GB RAM and 256GB SSD is $1149.99.
  • HP Spectre x360 with  Intel® Core™ i7, Quad HD touchscreen, 8GB RAM and 512GB SSD is $1399.99.

The HP Spectre x360 comes with additional accessories like HP Premium Leather Sleeve for sophisticated protection and HP Active Pen for writing, drawing, and easy navigation. Both are available for purchase.
