Gionee unveils Elife S7 with 5.5mm thickness, coming to India on April 3


Gionee announced the company's latest smartphone called Elife S7. The main highlight of the device is its magnesium alloy frame, lending it style as well as strength. The handset also gets a protective coating of Gorilla Glass 3 at the front as well as at the back.

The Gionee Elife S7 features a 5.2-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) AMOLED display. It is powered by an 1.7 GHz Octa-core MediaTek MT6752 processor. It packs 2GB RAM and houses 16 inbuilt storage. It runs Android 5.0 Lollipop with Amigo 3.0 UI on top.

Camera features include 13-megapixel rear camera with Sony IMX214 sensor and LED flash and 8-megapixel front facing camera with wide angle lens. The cameras comes with the company's new image processing system that allow it to shoot six images within a second.

Connectivity features include Dual-SIM support, 4G LTE / 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, USB OTG and GPS. It has support for 24-bit 192 kHz Hi-Fi quality audio codec.

The handset is backed by 2750mAh battery which is non-removable. It features an "extreme mode" which enables the last 10 percent of battery power to deliver another 33 hours 45 minutes of standby time.

The device measures 139.8×67.4×5.5mm, weighs 126grams and is available in white, black and blue color options.

The Gionee Elife S7 is priced at 399 Euros ($448 | Rs.27,500). It will launch in India on April 3.
