Huawei Honor 6 Plus and Honor 4X smartphones launched in India
Honor the global brand under Huawei has launched the Honor 6 Plus and Honor 4X smartphones in India. Both handsets will come with support for India's 4G LTE bands.
To recap, Huawei's Honor 6 Plus was announced in December last year in China, the Honor 4X was launched in October last year in China.
Both the handsets runs Android 4.4 KitKat with UI 3.0 on top out of the box. The brand has promised monthly OTA updates for the two devices for six months, followed by quarterly OTA updates.
The Honor 6 Plus flaunts a 5.5-inch FHD IPS display with 72.8% screen-to-body ratio and 2.8mm slim bezels on the sides.
The main highlight of Honor 6 Plus is its 8-megapixel rear and front camera. The company claims that it is the world's first bionic parallel dual lens camera and offers great image quality.
The dual parallel 8-megapixel rear camera allows ultra-focus speed of 0.1 seconds and records panoramic imaging. It has a Sony 8-megapixel BSI sensor front camera which is "delight for every selfie lover" as its is equipped with 10-level auto face enhancement and a feature called panoramic Selfie.
Other features include an octa-core Kirin 925 processor with Mali T628 GPU, 3GB RAM, 32GB inbuilt storage, microSD card slot, IR blaster and 3600mAh battery.
Connectivity options on Huawei Honor 6 Plus include 4G LTE Cat6 / 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n (dual band), Bluetooth 4.0, NFC and GPS / GLONASS.
The Honor 4x on the other hand sports a 5.5-inch IPS HD (720x1280) pixels display. It is powered by a 64-bit 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor paired with Adreno 306 GPU and 2GB RAM. It packs 8GB internal storage which can be expanded via microSD card up to 32GB.
The device sports a Sony made 13-megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and an LED flash and 5-megapixel front facing camera.
Connectivity options include 4G LTE / 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. It is backed by 3000mAh battery which the brand claims can deliver 72 hours of regular usage.The handset will be offered in red, blue or golden color.
Both handset will be available exclusively from Flipkart. The Honor 6 Plus comes with a price tag of Rs. 26,499 and will be available from April, while the Honor 4X is priced 10,499 and will be available via flash sale from March 30, the registration will later today today
The Honor 6 Plus and Honor 4x come will free screen replacement offer that's valid for the first month, warranty won't be void if it has been rooted and comes with 15 months warranty. Honor is also offering India specific app gifts worth Rs. 14,000 from Freecharge, Coupon Dunia, Hungama, Yatra and many more.
