Xiaomi's Mi TV 2 is a 40-Inch Android-Powered Smart TV for $320
The Mi TV 2 features a 40-inch (1920x1080) full-HD LED panel display from Sharp with 176-degree viewing angle. It has a 14.55mm slim frame, minimal aluminium brackets for a better viewing experience and has 11 key minimal remote.
The Mi TV 2 is powered by a 1.45GHz quad-core MStar 6A908 Cortex A-9 processor paired with Mali 450 GPU and 1.5GB RAM DDR3 RAM.
It comes with 8GB of eMMC flash storage and runs on Android 4.4-based MIUI TV OS. Xiaomi assures it will that it will release Android 5.0 Lollipop in the near feature.
The Video playback in Mi TV 2 is supported in most formats with video decoding for H.265, H.264, MPEG4, REAL, RM, FLV, MOV, AVI, MKV, TS, and MP4. Connectivity options include WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Dual-band 2.4 / 5GHz, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, 3 x HDMI 1.4, VGA, AV, Analog TV, 1 x USB 2.0 and 1x USB 3.0 and Ethernet
It also comes with Dolby MS12 virtual surround sound and can be used as a normal full HD TV as well as a giant Android-powered screen or an Android gaming console.
The Mi TV 2 is priced at CNY 1,999 ($322 | Rs. 20,000) and will go on sale starting March 31 via mi.com exclusively in China. There is no details on the global availability.
