Make calls while holding the phone upside down with 'Alcatel OneTouch Idol 3'
Alcatel unveiled it latest flagship smartphone called Alcatel OneTouch Idol 3 at MWC 2015. The main highlight of the device is it has two microphones, one on top and the other on bottom so you can pick up the phone in any orientation to answer a call. The screen will rotate automatically so it dosen't matter which way you hold your smartphone. The smartphone also has a dual-front facing speaker powered by JBL.
Alcatel OneTouch Idol 3 will be available in two display variants - 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch displays. Both phones are sleek and slim (about 7.5mm thick). Both the variants ships with Android 5.0 Lollipop.
The 4.7-inch variant will have 720p screen resolution and is powered by a Quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor. It packs 1GB RAM and houses 16GB internal storgae with microSD card support. Camera features include 13-megapixel rear camera with "Fast Face Focus" viewing angle and 5-megapixel front facing camera. The device is backed by 2000mAh battery.
The 5.5-inch variant sports 1080p screen and is powered by an Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor. It packs 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage (32GB on dual-SIM variant) with microSD card support. Camera features include 13-megapixel rear camera with "Fast Face Focus" viewing angle and 8-megapixel front facing camera. The device is powered by 2910mAh battery.
Alcatel did not reveal the pricing and availability details.
