HTC One M9 with 20-megapixel rear camera, Snapdragon 810 launched
HTC has officially launched its 2015 flagship - the One M9 at MWC 2015. The HTC One M9 has a Dual-tone finish on a single metal unibody design. The device is built on the design and DNA of its predecessors. The HTC One M9 combines the design and precision of M7 with the ergonomic curve of the One M8.
HTC's 2015 flagship also retails the iconic BoomSound dual front-facing speakers that is powered by Dolby Audio and 5.1 channel Dolby Surround sound simulation. The device also supports 24-bit HD sound quality.
Coming to the specs, HTC One M9 features 5-inch full-HD(1080x1920) display and is powered by 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor (quad-core 2GHz + quad-core 1.5GHz). It packs 3GB RAM and houses 32GB inbuilt storage further expandable via microSD card up to 128GB. The device supports single Nano-SIM cards and runs Android 5.0 Lollipop with HTC's brand new Sense 7 UI on top with an upgraded BlinkFeed.
HTC's new flagship sports 20-megapixel autofocus camera with Sapphire cover lens, BSI Sensor, f/2.2 aperture, dual-LED flash and 4K video recording. On the front there is a 4-UltraPixel camera. The One M9 comes preloaded with HTC's Eye Experience software enhancements and Zoe App.
Connectivity features include Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, NFC, GLONASS, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB, GPRS/ EDGE, 3G, and LTE. It features ambient light, proximity, accelerometer, gyroscope, compass, magnetic, and sensor hub.A 2840mAh battery runs the show on HTC One M9. It measures 144.6x69.7x9.61mm and weighs 157 grams.
The HTC One M9 also comes with AllPlay technology, allowing it to connect with speakers from its partners to stream songs wirelessly.
The HTC One M9 will be will be available in dual tone Silver and Rose Gold, single-tone Gunmetal Grey, single tone Gold, and dual tone Gold and Pink colours option. HTC also announced a number of accessories that includes the second-gen HTC Dot view case.
The HTC One M9 will be available globally starting mid-March. The pricing details is yet to be revealed.
