Motorola Moto E (2015) launched in India for Rs. 6,999


Motorola has launched its latest budget smartphone Moto E (2015) in India. The phone is priced at Rs. 6,999 and will be available from Wednesday midnight via Flipkart.

Motorola also plans to launch the 4G LTE version of the device in May. No pricing details of the phone was revealed.

The Moto E (2014) was a very popular handset in emerging markets like India. After the enrty of Chinese brand like Xiaomi, the phone started to show its age.

The Moto E (2015) comes with larger screen, powerful processor, more storage and faster mobile data. By comparison, the Moto E (2015) is much faster and slightly bigger than the Moto E (2014) that had  a dual-core processor, a 4.3 inch display, a fixed-focus camera, a 1980 mAh battery, and 3G data.

To reacap Moto E(2015) sports a 4.5-inch (960x540) qHD display with Corning Gorilla glass 3 protection. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 200 processor with 400 MHz Adreno 302 GPU. It houses 1GB RAM, 8GB internal storage, microSD card slot, 5-megapixel rear camera, 0.3-megapixel front facing camera and 2390mAh battery. It runs Android 5.0 Lollipop.

Motorola Moto E will be offered in Black or White base colour, with a choice of interchangeable Motorola Bands (Golden Yellow, Turquoise, Blue, Raspberry, Purple, Red) and Grip Shells (Golden Yellow, Charcoal, Turquoise, Blue, Raspberry). The bands come in packs of three colours priced at Rs. 999, while Grip Shells will cost Rs. 999 each.
