Vivo X5Max+ is an updated X5Max with 5.1mm thickness, Mediatek processor and bigger battery


Chinese handset manufacturer Vivo launched an upgraded variant of "world's slimmest smartphone" Vivo X5 Max at MWC 2015, Barcelona. 

Dubbed as Vivo X5Max+, the device has a increased thickness of 5.1mm as compared to Vivo X5Max's 4.75mm thickness. The device has a bigger battery capacity of 2300mAh, as compared to 2000mAh battery on Vivo X5 Max. 

The device is powered by octa-core 64-bit MediaTek MT6752 processor clocked at 1.7GHz instead of the 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor. Rest of the specs are the same.

It houses 2GB RAM, 16GB inbuilt storage, micro-SD card slot, 13.megapixel rear camera with Sony IMX214 sensor and LED flash, 5-megapixel front facing camera and the usual suite of connectivity options that include 4G LTE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Micro-USB, GPS/ A-GPS, and USB OTG. It ships with Android 4.4.4 KitKat out of the box with FunTouch 2.0 UI on top and includes dual-SIM support.

The Vivo X5 Max+ is priced at CNY 2998 (Rs. 29,500). The company did not reveal the availability details.
