Xiaomi intros 55-inch 4K Mi TV 2 in China

 

Xiaomi as a part of celebrating its 5th anniversary unveiled a 55-inch version of it Mi TV 2 in China. It comes with 15.2mm frame, 6mm bezel, re-designed Bluetooth subwoofer, and soundbar.

 

The company also unveiled a slew of devices that include Xiaomi Redmi 2A, Xiaomi Mi Note Cherry Pink Edition, 2GB variant of Mi 4, Mi Smart Scale and Mi Power Strip.

 

The 55-inch Mi TV 2 sports a 55-inch (3840 x 2160 pixels) 4K display with 178-degree viewing angle and 4000: 1 contrast ratio. It is powered by a 1.4GHz quad-core MStar 6A928 Cortex-A17 processor with Mali-760 MP4 GPU and 2GB DDR3 RAM. The TV comes with 8GB of internal storage and also has a wireless eight-speaker soundbar and aluminum sub-woofer with Dolby MS 12 virtual surround sound enhancement.

The Mi TV 2 55-inch version runs on MIUI TV OS. Connectivity options include WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ ac, Dual-band 2.4 / 5GHz, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, 3 x HDMI 3.0 VGA, AV, Analog TV, 1 x USB 2.0 and 1x USB 3.0, Ethernet. It supports video formats such as  H.265, H.263, MPEG1 / 2/4, VP8, REAL7 / 8/9 and MJPEG.

 

The 55-inch Xiaomi Mi TV 2 is priced at CNY 4999 ($800 | Rs. 50,440) and will go on sale in China on April 8.
