ZTE Grand S3 with Eyeprint ID biometric unlocking solution announced


At the ongoing MWC  2015 ZTE announced its latest Android flagship device called Grand S3. 

The main highlight of ZTE's new flagship is its Eyeprint ID password free-eye-based biometric unlocking solution. ZTE has partnered with EyeVerify to integrate retinal scanning which you can use to login to your smartphone. It works by imaging unique vein patterns in the human eye using the Grand S3's front facing camera.

The ZTE Grand S3 features 5.5-inch OGS display with 1920x1080 pixels screen resolution. It is powered by 2.5 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor paired with Adreno 330 GPU. It packs 3GB RAM and houses 16GB internal storage, expandable via microSD card up to 64GB. It supports Dual Nano SIM and runs Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box.

Camera department is handled by 16-megapixel auto focus rear camera with dual LED flash  and 8-megapixel front facing camera.

Connectivity options include 4G LTE / 3G HSPA+, Bluetooth, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n (Dual Band) and GPS/aGPS. A 3100mAh battery runs the show. It will be available in black colour option.

 The ZTE Grand S3 is priced at 2999 chinese Yuan (Rs. 30,000) and is already in on sale in China. There is no details on global availability.
