GPD Q9 is a mid-range Android gaming tablet


Chinese manufacturer GamePad Digital (GPD) specializes in making Android gaming tablets. The company has introduced a new tablet called GPD Q9 with gaming buttons on the sides of the display.

The GPD Q9 has a black polycarbonate shell with gloss finish. The gaming buttons on the sides of display are similar to PS4 and Xbox One consoles which includes action buttons, programmable ones, select and start commands, a four-axis directional pad and two analog sticks. It also has two front speakers.

Coming to the specifications, it features 7-inch (1024x600) IPS display and is powered by a 1.8GHz Rockchip RK3288 ARM Cortex-A17 quad-core processor paired with Mali T764 GPU and 2GB RAM

The gaming tablet comes with 16GB of internal storage and microSD card that supports up to 64GB microSD cards. It runs Android 4.4 KitKat. It sports a 0.3-megapixel VGA camera on the back.

Other features include Wi-Fi, microUSB port, miniHDMI video output and a headphone jack. The tablet is backed by a 5000mAh battery.

The GPD Q9 tablet can be purchased from AliExpress for $120 (Rs. 7500) and is also available for purchase via Geekbuying for $137 (Rs. 8,500)
