Huawei Honor Pad and Honor Play Pad Note launched in China


In addition to the Huawei Honor 4C smartphone, the Chinese tech major also announced two new tablets - Honor Pad and Honor Play Pad Note.

The Huawei Honor Pad features 7-inch IPS display with 1024x600 screen resolution and is powered by quad-core 1.2GHz Spreadtrum's SC7731G processor paired with 1GB RAM and 16GB internal storage. For storage expansion option there is a microSD card slot, that accepts up to 32GB SD cards. It runs Android 4.4 KitKat with Emotion UI 3.0 on top.

Camera features include 2-megapixel rear and front facing camera. It is backed by 4100mAh battery. The device supports Wi-Fi, 3G and voice calls and has a thickness of 8.5mm.

The Huawei Play Pad Note features a 9.6-inch IPS screen with 1280x800 resolution. It is powered by 64-bitQualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor paired with 1GB RAM and comes with 16GB internal storage, expandable via microSD card up to 64GB. It also runs Android 4.4 KitKat with Emotion UI 3.0 on top. 

Camera features include 5-megapixel rear camera and 2-megapixel front facing camera. It is backed by 4800mAh battery that offers up to 12 hours of standard use. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi and does not support 3G or 4G/LTE. It is 8.3mm thick and weighs 430g

The Huawei Honor Pad and Honor Play Pad Note is priced at CNY 599 ($100 | Rs. 6200) and 999 Yuan ($160 | RS. 10,000) respectively.  It will be available in China starting May 7. There are no details on global availability.
