Jawbone announces UP4 fitness tracker with mobile payment service, budget focused UP2
Jawbone announced the launch of two new fitness tracker dubbed Jawbone UP2 and Jawbone UP4.
The Jawbone UP4 comes with NFC chip that allows you to tap and pay directly from your wrist. Only American Express Card members can use this mobile payment service. Card holders will have to make payments by using the UP app for iOS and Android.
As a fitness tracker, the Jawbon UP4 sports a slim design and is built on multi sensor platform with advanced activity, sleep and heart health tracking. It also comes with Smart Coach, an intelligent system that learns your habits and guides you to reach your daily work out goals.
The Jawbone UP2 boasts Medical-grade hypoallergenic TPU rubber strap, Anodized aluminum casing, TiN coated stainless steel Clasp and has splash proof body. It features Activity tracking, Sleep tracking, Food logging and Smart Coach. Other features include smart Alarm, Idle alert, Bluetooth 4.0 BLE and Tri-axis accelerometer.
It also has three single color LED's - Blue for sleep, orange for activity, and white for notifications. The UP2 is backed by 38mAh battery that will last up to 7 days.
Jawbone UP4 comes in Black Twist and Silver Cross and is priced at $199 and will be available sometime over the summer. Jawbone UP2 comes in Black Diamond and Light Grey Hex and is priced $99.99. It will be available in the U.S starting April 15 from e-commerce portals Jawbone, bestbuy and Amazon.
