Lava Icon With 5-Inch display launched in India for Rs. 11,990


Lava launched its latest Android smartphone Icon in India for Rs. 11,990. The smartphone will be available exclusively via Snapdeal starting today. The first 500 customers who order the phone will get a free selfie stick with the device.

The Lava Icon is a dual-SIM smartphone that runs Android 4.4 KitKat and is customized with company's Star OS that adds a variety of customizable gestures, like drawing certain letters on the screen in sleep mode to trigger specified function.

The smartphone features 5-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) IPS display with Asahi Dragontrail glass protection. It is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor paired with ARM Mali-400 MP2 GPU and 2GB RAM.

The Lava Icon comes with 16GB internal storage and microSD card slot that suports up to 32GB cards. Camera features include 13-megapixel rear camera with dual-LED flash, Sony EXMOR BSI 2 sensor, f/2.0 aperture and 5-megapixel front facing camera.

Connectivity options include 3G, GPRS/ EDGE, GPS/ A-GPS, Wi-Fi, Micro-USB and Bluetooth. A 2500mAh battery runs the show on Lava Icon that promises to deliver up to 20 hours of talk time on 2G and 9 hours of talk time on 3G networks.
