Lava Iris X1 Atom with 4-inch display launched in India for Rs. 4,444

Lava Iris X1 Atom is a new smartphone in the company's popular Iris X series. The entry-level device comes with a price tag of Rs. 4,444 and is targeted at first-time smartphone buyers.

The Lava Iris X1 Atom is a dual-SIM smartphone and runs Android 4.4 KitKat, upgradable to Lollipop in the coming months. It sports 4-inch (800x480 pixels) WVGA display and is powered by 1.5GHz quad-core processor paired with 512MB RAM.

The smartphone comes with 4GB of internal storage and microSD card slot the accepts up to 32GB card. Camera features include 5-megapixel PureCel rear camera with LED flash and 0.3-megapixel VGA front facing camera.

Connectivity features include 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth and GPS. It is backed by 1750mAh battery and comes in silver, black silver and black gold colors. It offers software features such as Smart Swipe (a 4 way gesture/shortcut), Smart view (lets users to use two fingers to rotate images in gallery), Double tap to wake up, Active shot to click photos in one click and many more.

The Lava Iris X1 Atom is priced at Rs 4,444 and will be available via e-commerce portals and retails stores starting next week.
