Nokia N1 tablet launched in Taiwan
Nokia's Android powered N1 tablet will finally be made available in other countries soon. The tablet was launched in Taiwan on Tuesday and is expected to hit more Asian countries in the near future.
The Nokia N1 tablet was unveiled in November and made available for the Chinese market via Foxconn in January. Unfortunately, there are no details when the tablet will reach Indian shores.
In Taiwan the Nokia N1 will be priced TWD 8,190 (Rs. 17,000 | $270) and will start rolling out in May via Shunfa 3C.
To recap, N1 is Nokia's first Android powered tablet. It was the first product from Nokia post Microsoft's acquisition where under the deal, the Finnish company is no longer able to use Nokia brand on smartphones till Q2 2016 and on feature phones for 10 years.
The Nokia N1 tablet is a 7.9-inch (2048x1536 pixels) slate with a IPS-LED-backlit display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. Under the hood, there is 64-bit Intel Atom Z3580 processor paired with PowerVR G6430 GPU and 3GB RAM. It comes with 32GB internal storage that is non-expandable and runs Android 5.0 Lollipop with Nokia's Z launched on top. Camera features include 8-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel front facing camera. Other features include stereo speakers, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, Micro-USB with reversible Type-C connector and 5300mAh battery.
