Xiaomi Mi 4i first flash sale: 40,000 units sell out in 15 seconds

Last week, Xiaomi launched its latest budget smartphone, Mi 4i in India. Today the smartphone went on sale for the very first time through flash sale via Flipkart. 40,000 units were up for grabs. Xiaomi managed to sell out the 40,000 units in just 15 seconds.

The second flash sale of Xiaomi's Mi 4i is scheduled for May 7, for which registration will start at 6pm today.

The Xiaomi Mi 4i comes with a price tag of Rs. 12,999. For the said price it brings powerful set of specs. The Mi 4i sports a unibody design and has a thickness of 7.8mm. It features 5-inch FHD OGS display with Corning Gorilla Glass protection. The display is also equipped with Sunlight Display technology for improved visibility under sunlight.

Under the hood there is an octa-core 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor paired with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage that is non-expandable. Camera features include 13-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel front facing camera. It runs Android 5.0 Lollipop with MIUI 6 on top, supports 4G LTE and is backed by 3120mAh battery.
