Dell launches palm-sized Inspiron Micro Windows PC


Dell's new Inspiron Micro is a full-featured desktop in an ultra-small design that fits in your palm. It comes installed with Windows 8.1 OS and Bing 3.0 64-bit software. The OS will be upgraded to Windows 10 when it is available this summer.

The Dell Inspiron Micro Desktop features Intel HD graphics, 2GB RAM and 32GB solid state storage which can be expanded via external SD card reader or and external hard drive. It houses Ethernet port, HDMI port, Display port, one USB 3.0 ports and three USB 2.0 ports. It supports Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity.

As for the processor, Dell offers with a choice of Intel Celeron J1800, J1900 or Pentium J2900 Bay Trial processors.

The Intel Celeron powered Dell Inspiron Micro is priced $179 and the Bay Trial Processor equipped Inspiron Micro carries a price tag of $229. It will be available starting next week in the U.S.
