Intel-powered WPG NuPC mini PC with Windows 8.1 launched in India
Taiwan based electronic distributors WPG in collaboration with Intel and Microsoft launched its mini PC, NuPC in India. The NuPC is targeted at retail stores and small businesses. It is also suitable for home use, especially as a media centre hooked up to TV.
The NuPC is small enough to fit in the palm of your hand. It is energy efficient and works with a low thermal footprint. It takes up a 4x4-inch (117x112mm) space on a desk and is 35mm thick.
NuPC runs Windows 8.1 with Bing and is available in two configurations. The base configuration is powered by Intel Celeron processor paired with 2GB RAM, 500GB hard drive. It houses Gigabit Ethernet port, one USB 3.0 port and two USB 2.0 ports. It is priced at Rs. 18,999. You can opt for 4GB RAM and 1TB storage for Rs. 21,999.
The Intel Core i3-powered configuration comes with 2GB RAM, 500GB storage, Gigabit Ethernet, four USB 3.0 port and two USB 2.0 ports. It is priced at 29,999. The 4GB RAM and 1TB storage configuration is priced Rs. 32,999.
The Nu PC is powered by a bundled 19V 3.42A DC adapter and houses full-sized HDMI port and 3.5mm mic/headphone Jack.
Commenting on the launch the company said “From a home user to discerning enterprise users the variants of NuPC meets the needs of both. Low power consumption, small space requirement, industry standard components makes it possible to deploy NuPC in any demanding environment”
