Asus ZenFone Selfie with 13-megapixel rear and front camera announced


Asus announced the ZenFone Selfie - a selfie focus smartphone designed for selfie shot lovers at Computex 2015, Taipei.

The Asus ZenFone Selfie sports 13-megapixel front camera with dual-color Real Tone flash, 1/3.07 Toshiba sensor, f/2.2 aperture and 88-degree wide-viewing lens. The rear side sports a 13-megapixel camera with f/2.0 aperture, Real Tone flash and Laser Auto Focus The front camera comes with beautification mode for quality selfies and can can span up to 140 degress in the selfie Panorama mode. Other modes include low light mode, Backlight (HDR) mode, manual mode and zero shutter lag.

ZenFone Selfie features 5.5-inch full-HD (1080 x 1920 pixels) IPS LCD display powered by Asus TruVivid technology with later of Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection. Under the hood there is a 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 615 (1.7GHz quad-core and 1GHz quad-core) processor paired with Adreno 405 GPU.


The ZenFone Selfie comes in 2GB RAM or 3GB RAM variants and also comes with a choice of 16GB or 32GB internal storage. For storage expansion there is microSD card slot that supports up to 64GB microSD cards. It runs Android 5.0 Lollipop with Zen UI on top and is fuelled by 3000mAh battery.

Connectivity options include Bluetooth 4.0, GPRS/EDGE, 3G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, GPS/A-GPS, micro-USB port and support for dual-SIM (Micro-SIM). It measures 156.5 x 77.2 x 10.8, weighs 170g and will be available in Pure White, Chic Pink, Aqua Blue, Glacier Gray,Sheer Gold and Glamor Red colors

Asus has not revealed availability and pricing details for the Asus ZenFone Selfie smartphone.
