iBall Splendo Intel-powered Windows PC-on-Stick launched for Rs. 8,999

At CES 2015 Intel unveiled a new computing device dubbed Compute Stick that offers full-fledged PC experience in a HDMI dongle.

Now, Microsoft India in partnership with iBall launched its first PC on a stick device dubbed Splendo. It is a Windows-based mini computer which can be plugged in to TV via HDMI to turn it into a PC or Smart TV. It has a fan-less design and comes with one-year warranty.

iBall Splendo is powered by an Intel Atom quad-core processor and comes with 2GB RAM, 32GB internal storage and Windows 8.1 OS.  Other features include Intel HD graphics, multi-channel digital audio, microSD card slot, USB port, Micro-USB port, WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0.

iBall Splendo is priced at Rs. 8,999 and will go on sale across the country in early July. It comes bundled with a wireless keyboard and a mouse.

Commenting on the launch, Sandeep Parasrampuria, Director of iBall, said: "iBall Splendo PC-On-Stick is one such device which will be useful for every home and office conference room providing different dimensions to use the PC as well as get great multimedia and internet experience by attaching it to the TV."
