Asus Pegasus 2 Plus with 5.5-inch 1080p display unveiled in China


Asus at a Chinese exhibition in Nanjing has silently unveils Pegasus 2 Plus X550 in China, successor to the Pegasus X002 which launched backed in December 2014. It sports a metallic frame, has Dual-SIM slot and runs Android 5.1.1 Lollipop with ZenUI on top.

The Pegasus 2 Plus is a major update over the first gen Pegasus with detailed screen, faster processor, improved camera and the latest Android version. 

The Asus Pegasus 2 Plus X005 features 5.5-inch full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) display and is powered by 64-bit Octa-core Snapdragon 615 processor paired with Adreno 405 GPU and 3GB RAM. It comes in two storage variant - 16GB or 32GB. Camera features include 13-megapixel main camera with LED flash and 8-megapixel front facing camera. Connectivity options includes Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Bluetooth V4.0 MicroUSB V2.0 and A-GPS. It is fueled by 3030mAh battery and comes in White and Rose Gold color.

By comparison the Pegasus X002 featured 5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels display), powered by 64-bit 1.5GHz MediaTek MT6732 processor with 2GB RAM, 8MP rear and 5MP front shooter and booted Android 4.4 KitKat.

Asus Pegasus 2 Plus will hit the market in September, unfortunately there is no word on pricing details.
