Lava Pixel V1 Android One smartphone launched for Rs. 11,350
Lava in partnership with Google, launched its first Android One phone in India dubbed Pixel V1. Google promises that the Pixel V1 will receive guaranteed Android updates for 2 years. Lava's Android One phone is a major improvement over the first gen Android One phones including Micromax Canvas A1, Karbonn Sparkle V, and the Spice Dream UNO Mi-498.
The Lava Pixel V1 features 5.5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) Full Lamination IPS display with Asahi Dragontrail Glass protection and oleophobic coating. Inside therfe is an 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582 processor paired with Mali 400 MP2 GPU and 2GB DDR3 RAM. On-board storage is 32GB, further expandable via microSD card up to 32GB. It runs Android 5.1.1 Lollipop and has dual-SIM slots. There is a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, 1.4um BSI sensor, f/2.0 aperture and 5P lens. On the front there is an 8-megapixel camera with 1.4um BSI sensor, f/2.4 aperture and 4P lens. On the connectivity front it supports 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, USB OTG and GPS. It is fueled by 2650mAh battery and comes in White with Silver and Gold colors.
By comparison the first gen Android One phones featured 5-inch FWVGA display with 480x854 pixels screen resolution and was powered by 1.3GHz quad-core processor paired with 1GB RAM and 8GB inbuilt storage [microSD card support upto 32GB]. It was equipped with 5-megapixel rear camera and 2-megapixel front facing camera. Also included was 1700mAh battery and dual SIM slots.
Lava Pixel V1 is priced at Rs. 11,350 and will be exclusively available via Flipkart starting July 27. It will also be made available from modern trade chains and over 32,000 multi-brand outlets across the country.
