LG Gentle flip phone with Android 5.1 Lollipop, 4G LTE unveiled
LG has introduced the LG Gentle in Korea. It is a Flip phone that features a T9 keyboard and special dedicated 'Q' button that shows frequently opened apps. LG Gentle comes with a soft leather-like finish on the rear panel.
This is the LG's third clamshell smartphone after Ice Cream Smart and Wine. The company said that it will introduce such customized mobile products based on lifestyle of users. It also added that the demand for flip phones has been strong in Asian market, including LG's home turf South Korea.
LG Gentle features 3.2-inch (320 x 480 pixels) touch screen display and is powered by 1.1GHz quad-core Snapdragon 210 processor paired with Adreno 304 GPU and 1GB RAM. On-board storage is 4GB, further expandable via microSD card. It runs Android 5.1 Lollipop. Camerawise, it sports 5-megapixel rear camera and 0.3-megapixel VGA front facing camera. Connectivity features include 4G, WiFi, GPS and Bluetooth 4.0. It is fueled by 1700mAh battery. It comes in Navy and Burgundy colors.
The LG Gentle is priced at 200,000 South Korean Won (US$ 170 / Rs. 11,000) and will go on sale in South Korea starting July 29 from local operator LG U+.
