Samsung Galaxy A8 spotted in catalog picture in South Korea
We have heard a lot about Samsung's upcoming high end smartphone Galaxy A8. It appeared in live images, got benchmarked and certified by TENAA & FCC giving a clear picture of what we can expect for the device.
Now, the Samsung Galaxy A8 is spotted in a catalog that reveals all there is to know about the device except the pricing and availability.
According to the brochure, Samsung Galaxy A8 features 5.7-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) Super AMOLED display and is powered by Octa-Core Exynos 5430 (1.8GHz Quad A15 + 1.3 GHz Quad A7) processor paired with Mali T628 MP6 GPU. The actual chipset is not clear as TENAA listing revealed that the device was powered by Snapdragon 615 processor. We can expect the Galaxy A8 to come in two SIM variant - the Single-SIM with Exynos SoC and the dual-SIM with Snapdragon 615 SoC, similar to the Galaxy A7.
The phone packs 2GB RAM and on-board storage is 32GB, with storage expansion up to 128GB via microSD card. It runs Android 5.1 Lollipop and supports 4G LTE, 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, A-GPS/GLONASS connectivity. Camerawise the Galaxy A8 sports 16-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, f/1.9 aperture and 5-megapixel front facing camera.
The Samsung Galaxy A8 has a thickness of 5.9mm making it the slimmest Samsung Galaxy phone to date, weighs 151 grams and comes in Gold, White and Black colors.
