ZTE unveils V3 variants with aluminum body, fingerprint sensor


ZTE has introduced it V3 series of smartphone in China - V3 Youth, V3 Energy and V3 Extreme. All three smartphone have aircraft-grade aluminum alloy body, fingerprint sensor on the back, 4G LTE support and similar specs except for network support. They also have DTS sound and a dedicated AW8155A audio chip.

ZTE's trio of smartphones (V3 Youth, V3 Energy and V3 Extreme) features 5.5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) display and are powered by octa-core 64-bit Snapdragon 615 processor further aided by Adreno 405 GPU and 2GB RAM. On-board storage is 16GB. They run Android 5.1 Lollipop with nubila UI 3.0 on top and have Hybrid Dual SIM slot (micro+nano). The nano SIM slot can be used as microSD slot (up to 128GB supported). Camerawise, there is 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, f/2.2 aperture, Largan 5p lenses. On the front there is a 5-megapixel camera with OmniVision OV5670 sensor and f/2.2 aperture. On the connectivity front the three handsets support 4G LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS/aGPS. They are fueled by 3000mAh battery, is 8.5mm thick and weighs 160g. 

The ZTE V3 Youth Edition with 4G LTE support cost CNY 999 (US$ 160 | Rs. 10,000), V3 Energy Edition with full network support costs CNY 1299 (US$ 210 | Rs. 13,500) and the V3 Extreme Edition with additional accessories is priced CNY 1499 (US$ 240 | Rs. 15,470). All three smartphones are now available for pre-order in China and goen on sale next month. There is no word when they will launch in other regions.
