Lenovo K3 Note to go on open sale on August 10 and 11

Lenovo introduced its budget 4G LTE smartphone, the K3 Note in India for Rs. 9,999. Since then, Lenovo has been offering the handset via weekly flash sale on Flipkart. On its first flash sale around 50,000 units were sold in 5.2 seconds which was held on July 8.

Now, Lenovo has announced "Independence Day special open sale" for the K3 Note in India. Under the special open sale that will be held on August 10 and 11 via Flipkart, the K3 Note will be available in the country. An open sale for the K3 Note means that consumers will not be required to register to purchase the handset during the sale. Both black and white variants of the handset will be available.

Lenovo also announced that it sold 62,000 units of K3 Note in the fifth flash sale held on Flipkart today. So far, 200,000 units of the handset have been sold in the country till date and have also received over 2 million registrations in the first five weeks of launching the K3 Note.

To recap, The Lenovo K3 note features a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) display and is powered by 64-bit octa-core Mediatek MT6752 processor clocked at 1.7GHz paired with Mali-T760 GPU and 2GB RAM. On-board storage is 16GB, futher expandable via microSD card slot up to 32GB. It runs in Android 5.0 Lollipop with Vibe UI on top. Camera features include 13-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash and a 5-megapixel front facing camera. Connectivity option include Dual-SIM support, 2G/3G, LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and the usual suite of sensors. It is backed by a 3000mAh battery.
