Barnes & Noble launches Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 NOOK

Samsung in collaboration with Barnes and Noble announced a new tablet, Galaxy Tab S2 NOOK, which is a re-branded Galaxy Tab S2 tablet. It is presented as as "the ultimate tablet for readers."

The Galaxy Tab S2 NOOK comes with access to both the Nook app store and Google Play for Android apps. In addition the tablet comes with full suite of Microsoft Office apps, free WiFi access at Barnes and Noble stores free sample books and free Nook Cloud storage.

As for specs, Galaxy Tab S2 NOOK features 8-inch Super AMOLED display with 2048 x 1536 pixels resolution and is powered by an octa-core Exynos 5433 processor with 3GB RAM. On-board storage is 32GB, further expandable up to 128GB via microSD card. It runs Android 5.0 Lollipop. For imaging there is an 8-megapixel rear camera and 2.1-megapixel front shooter. Connectivity options include WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, WiFi Direct, GPS, GLONASS, Bluetooth 4.1 BLE. The tablet has a fingerprint scanner and packs a 4000mAh battery.
