Lenovo introduces several new Ideapad laptops

Lenovo introduced several new Ideapad laptops at the ongoing IFA 2015 trade show in Berlin. There are five new Ideapad series notebooks – the Ideapad 100s, 300, 300s, 500, 500s. All the new laptops run Windows 10 home.

Lenovo IdeaPad 100s
The IdeaPad 100s is an entry-level model which comes in 11.6-inch and 14-inch display models. The laptop is powered by Intel Atom Z3735F CPU with 11.6-inch model offering 2G DDR3L RAM and 32GB storage and the 14-inch model offering 4GB RAM and 256GB SSD. Other features include 0.3-megapixel webcam at front, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n (WiFi ac on 14-inch model), Bluetooth 4.0, USB 2.0, USB 3.0, HDMI out and a SD card reader. The laptops can last for up to 9 hours on a single charge. The 11.6-inch model costs $189 and the 14-inch model is priced $259.

Lenovo IdeaPad 300 and IdeaPad 300S
Lenovo IdeaPad 300 is targeted at multimedia users looking for affordable notebook. It comeswith either 15.6-inch Full HD or 17.3-inch HD display. It is powered by 6th gen Intel Core i7 or Intel Brasweel N3700 processors aided by choice of Integrated Intel HD or NVIDIA GeForce 920 or AMD Radeon R5 graphics card and up to 16GB DDR3L RAM. Storage capacity is 1TB HDD or SHD. There is a HD webcam and stereo speakers with Dolby Advanced Audio. Other features include WiFi ac, USB 3.0, HDMI out and SD card reader. The IdeaPad 300 prices start at $449.

The IdeaPad 300S is targeted at mid-range segment and is somewhat a less powerful variant of IdeaPad 300. The 14-inch notebook boasts Full HD display and is powered by sixth gen Intel Core i7 processor which can be configured up to 8GB DDR3LM RAM. It comes with up 1TB HDD or SSHD or 256GB solid state drive storage and a dedicated GeForce 940M graphics card. Other features include WiFi ac connectivity, HD Webcam, Dolby Home Theater powered stereo speaker, USB 3.0 port, USB 2.0 port, HDMI and an SD card reader. It can last up to five hours on a single charge. Prices start at $479.

Lenovo IdeaPad 500 and IdeaPad 500S
The IdeaPad 500 comes in 14-inch and 15-inch Full hD models and can be configured with either AMD A10-7300 or Intel Core i7 CPU with up to 16GB RAM and upto 1TB HDD or SSHD. Graphics is handled by AMD Radeon R7 M360. Other features include JBL stereo speakers and RealSense 3D camera The 14-inch IdeaPad 500 prices start at $399 while the 15-inch model starting price is $599. For the AMD-based and Intel based variant pricing starts at $499 and $899 accordingly.

Lastly, the IdeaPad 500S comes in 13.3-inch, 14-inch and 15-inch models. It can be configured by up to sixth gen Intel Core i7 processor and up to 8GB RAM . The 13.3-inch model storage options include 1TB HDD, 500GB SSHD and 128GB SSD, the 14-inch and 15-inch offers storage options of 1TB HDD, 1TB SSHD and 256GB SSD. Prices will be announced closer to launch. Other features include two USB 3.0, two USB 2.0, HDMI, SD card reader, HD webcam and stereo speakers with Dolby Home theater.

The Lenovo Ideapad 300/300s and 500/500s will be available starting October.
