Lenovo Vibe S1 with dual front camera announced
Lenovo has introduced a new selfie-focused smartphone, the Vibe S1 at IFA 2015, Berlin. It comes with two front facing camera and sports an attractive curved glass back design.
The front camera setup consists of an 8-megapixel and 2-megapixel camera, for taking selfies. The 8-megapixel camera is to capture your image, while the 2-megapixel camera is used to analyze depth of field information to replicate human binocular vision. On the rear sits a 13-megapixel auto-focus camera with dual-tone LED flash.
After clicking a selfie with both camera, you can modify the photos in various ways by selecting built-in photo editing tools. 'Blur' allows refocusing anywhere on the seflie (up to 3 focal
plains) or adding a 'bokeh' photo effect to the background to stylize a
selfie or simply to get rid of a photo bomber. With 'cut out' you can crop a selfie and then place on any other image and even photo taken on a rear camera.
The Vibe S1 sports a 5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) IPS display and is powered by 1.7GHz MediaTek octa-core 64-bit processor with 3GB RAM and 32GB expandable storage (up to 128GB microSD card supported). It runs Android 5.0 Lollipop. On the connectvity front, the phone supports 4G LTE bands, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g.n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. A 2500mAh battery give the Vibe S1 life. It measures 143.3 x 70.8 x 7.8mm, weighs 132 grams and comes in Pearl White and Midnight Blue colors.
The Lenovo Vibe S1 is priced $299 and will hit the market starting November.
