LG’s Nexus 5X coming September 29, priced $399 onwards


Google's upcoming LG and Huawei made Nexus smartphones rumors and leaks are flowing in full form. Now we're finally getting word of an announcement date. According to CNET and Android Authority, Google will unveil both Nexus smartphones at en event on September 29 in San Francisco.

Android Authority has further confirms the name, some specs and price of the LG made Nexus device. It will be called Nexus 5x and is said to be slightly more expensive than the Nexus 5.

The LG Nexus 5X will sport a circular rear-mounted fingerprint sensor along a raised camera with dual LED flash on the side. There will be USB Type-C port and the phone will come in White, Black and Blue colors. Under the hood there is Snapdragon 808 processor, 3GB RAM, 13-megapixel camera with Sony IMX278 sensor. It is likely to sport a 5.2-inch display with Quad HD resolution.  

The Nexus 5X will be priced $50 more than the Nexus 5. The 16GB model will cost $399 while the 32GB model will carry a price tag of $449. It will be available to buy immediately after the announcement starting September 29 via Google Store.

Android Authority states that "Again, this is non-final info so do not take it for granted just yet. That said, this is a very solid source, so we fully expect this info to pan out."
