Dell intros the XPS 12 2-in-1 tablet, coming in November

In addition to the XPS 13 and XPS 15 laptops, Dell also announced the brand new XPS 12, a 2-in-1 tablet. It can be used as a laptop when attached to the bundled hinge-less magnetic keyboard. The keyboard comes with a fixed kickstand, so users will not be able to adjust the display position.

The XPS 12 features a 12.5-inch IPS display which comes in the choice of two resolutions - Full HD (1080p) and 4K (3840 x 2160 pixels). It is equipped with 6th gen Intel Core m5 Skylake processor with Intel HD Graphics 515, 8GB RAM. It comes with two storage options-128GB or 256GB SSD.

There is a 8-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel front facing camera. It houses two Thunder Bolt 3 USB-C ports supporting Power in/ charging, Powershare; VGA, HDMI and Ethernet ports.The tablet weighs just 1.75 pound and with the keyboard, the combined weight is 2.8 pound.

The Dell XPS 12 base model- 12.5-inch 1080p display, 8GB RAM and 128GB SSD is priced at $999. While the high-end model of Dell XPS 12 with 12.5-inch 4K display with Gorilla Glass protection, 8GB RAM and 256GB SSD is priced at $1299.  Both variants will run on the same Intel 'Skylake' Core M5 processor

Dell also outed an Active Pen for writing and drawing on the XPS 12, which you would have to buy separately.

The Dell XPS 12 will arrive in the U.S in November.
