HP's refreshed Chromebook 14 offers Full HD screen, 9+ hours battery life

HP has refreshed its Chromebook 14 with improved hardware packed in a thin and colorful design. It is 0.7-inch thick, weighs 3.94 pounds and has  a new Sky Blue color option in addition to the older Turbo Silver.

The HP Chromebook 14 has a 14-inch IPS display that comes in either 1366 x 768 pixels (HD) or Full HD  resolution. Inside there is an Intel Celeron N2840 processor with 2GB RAM and 16GB on-board storage. You also get access to 100GB of Google Drive storage for two years.

There's also a USB 3.0 port (supports Sleep & Charge functionality), two USB 2.0 ports, an HDMI port and a microSD card reader. For wireless connectivity there is Bluetooth and 802.11ac WiFi. HP promises a battery life of up to 9 hours and 15 minutes with HD display.

HP is also offering some freebies including 12 free Gogo in-air internet passes for people who travel a lot, along with three free Google Play movie rentals and 90 days of free Google Play music.

The base model will release on November 8 with a 1,366 x 768 display for $249 while the optional Full HD display will set you back by $279.

In addition, HP is selling the Chromebook 14 g4 in October starting $279. It has been made specifically for small businesses and educational customers.
